Cusco Travel Guides (Updated September 2026)

If you are in #Cuzco #Peru go to the Santuario Animal de Cochahuasi.. 30m from town, locals giving a second chance to injured wild animals, returning them to the natural habitats once they are ready and taking care of others that won’t survive out there.

Off the beaten path little sanctuary was agreat way to spend an afternoon. A wonderful variety of local animals and the volunteers were so informative and excited to share their knowledge. Highly Recommend!

Terrific way to see some Peruvian countryside, learn about Inca culture (fascinating!), and tour around with some beautiful, well-kept horses. Thanks for a wonderful morning. Highly recommend adding this adventure to your itinerary.

This was a great way to end our 10-day trip to Peru. Pick up was easy and on time from our hotel near the Cusco city center. The drive to the ranch was short and pretty. Our hosts were gracious, the horses were well training trail horses, the scenery was beautiful. All in all, this was a worthwhile event and investment.

This was an excellent cooking class. I’ve taken cooking classes in a couple of countries, but this might be my favorite. The communication was clear and recipes were delicious. Our guide, Ronal, had carefully orchestrated the instructions and timing of all of the cooking processes so that we were engaged for the duration of the almost 4 hr class. There was a brief history of cooking in Peru and contributions from other cultures. Then we went to the market and did some shopping which was very entertaining and informative. We learned to chop and dice in the proper way. We learned which limes to use for cooking as opposed to drinking. The ceviche recipe was packed with interesting ingredients, not found in a traditional ceviche. It was delicious.

Absolutely wonderful experience. Our guide was friendly, funny, and full of knowledge of the culture & cuisine of the area. Learning about the markets around town, some local cuisine and how to prepare them was a true highlight of the trip. I highly recommend doing this.

We had a terrific experience with our private Cusco sightseeing guide Henre. He was professional, knowledgeable, friendly, and very accommodating to our interests throughout the tour.His English was excellent, and he did a great job explaining the history and culture of Cusco in an engaging way. He also offered to take plenty of photos of us and suggested some excellent locations for pictures along the way.It was clear that he knows Cusco very well and is experienced at what he does. The tour felt personal and well tailored to us, and we would definitely recommend him to others looking for a knowledgeable and personable private guide in Cusco.

Great tour - you visit the main Incas archaeological sites in Cusco and you learn a lot about this fascinating culture.

Rainbow mountain was an unforgettable experience! We did not do the whole hike, we took horse up part of the way. This was also an incredible experience. The views up top are breathtakingly beautiful! Many llama picture opportunities when you reach the top as well. Would highly recommend this tour.

This hike was a challenge for me, because I'm a little out of shape, but it was so worth it. Lake Humantay is absolutely beautiful and Leonardo and our driver were skilled in their efforts to deliver us safely to all of the destinations on the tour. The vegetarian breakfast and lunch were delightful. Upon reaching the lake, the shades of brown and teal were a stunning delight against a snow-capped mountain.

Excellent in every aspect, I highly recommend it.
