Corniglia Travel Guides (Updated September 2026)

We had an excellent tour of Cinque Terre with Chiara! From the very beginning, she was responsive and communicated clearly before, during, and even after our tour, making the entire experience stress-free. The itinerary was perfectly planned, with just the right amount of time at each village to explore without ever feeling rushed. I especially appreciated that she checked in with us throughout the day to make sure we were happy with the amount of time at each stop and adjusted as needed. Driving the winding, narrow roads of Cinque Terre is no easy task, but Chiara was an incredibly safe and confident driver, which allowed us to relax and enjoy the stunning scenery. If you're looking for a knowledgeable, organized, and thoughtful guide for Cinque Terre, I highly recommend Chiara. She made our day memorable, enjoyable, and effortless!

We had a great day's excursion with Chiara to the Cinque Terre! Chiara collected us from our cruise ship and communication while we were disembarking was very helpful. Her vehicle was large, comfortable and spotlessly clean. She drove professionally on small mountain roads with great care and attention and we felt safe and secure at all times. On the way to the Cinque Terre she provided a good deal of information about the surrounding countryside and provided plenty of detail about the history, lifestyle and food of the area. On arrival at the villages Chiara gave clear instructions as to the best places to wander and the restaurants to eat at - she also made it perfectly clear as to where she would be waiting for us and at what time. All in all, she ensured we had a memorable day and returned us to our ship in good time feeling we had experienced the best of the Cinque Terre. Well done Chiara and we hope to travel with you again in the future!! Jacqueline & Brian

We had a wonderful experience with our guide Arnoldo! He picked us up directly at our hotel for a day trip to Cinque Terre. He then dropped us off in Barga as we had asked for. Arnoldo was very knowledgeable, friendly and provided nice cold waters! Davide and Alessandra who I worked with directly to book the tour were also wonderful and responded to all of my questions in a timely fashion. Highly recommend them!!

Chiara was our driver for the day. She was excellent! Chiara picked us up at the Livorno port and drove us to Cinque Terre. Along the way, she gave us history and pointed out interesting sites. Once in Cinque Terre, Chiara helped us secure ferry tickets and told us where to get off plus where she would meet us. It was so easy because of Chiara. Cinque Terre is beautiful and wonderful to walk around. Each town having their own charm. I highly recommend Ciao Italy Tours and Chiara for your driver.

Many of the shops are closed for the season. Very little to see in December. Advantage for this time of year is traffic and crowds are manageable. Our driver, Zach, was incredible. He was waiting for us as we disembarked the ship. And an awesome driver.

First off, I can not say how much I enjoyed spending an entire day with Chiara, our fantastic and knowledgeable guide. I would never want to do a tour without her.We had a quiet group, but Chiara kept the atmosphere light and everyone comfortable. The most outstanding thing was how fresh she made the tour feel. She did not recite a script but interjected comments and highlights as needed. I wish I had booked my tour to Pisa with her. Thank you for an unforgettable experience. The tour itself was perfect. I found the amount of time spent in each town was just right. I highly recommend this tour if you have already seen Florence and Pisa.

Max is a fantastic and safe driver through all the narrow windy roads! His stories both personal and about the region made for an enjoyable journey. The car was new, very comfortable, and clean. We were fortunate to also get access to the gate to Cinque Terre and avoided extra walking in the summer heat which we greatly appreciated!! We tried regional focaccia, pesto, and sciacchetrà wine at different stops. Highly recommend this tour for an iconic day trip.

Professional and empathetic service, the owner is an exquisite and very kind person, we highly recommend for any trip, don't hesitate to contact them

We had the opportunity to be shown around Cinque Terre by Stefano. He was a great driver, patient, had great advice, showed us his recommended favourite place, had a large comfy vehicle and was just an all round lovely guy. He shared information about what we would see and stopped for us to take pictures. It was a great experience and be even swapped WhatsApp numbers in case we were done quicker or in one instance we stayed longer so the teens could swim.It was a wonderful experience.

Absolutely gorgeous villages to visit on a sunny beautiful blue sky day!!! Diego, our driver Ali g with 2 drivers were absolutely great to communicate with the entire trip. We got to see Porto Verene, Vernazza n Coneglia.

Fantastic experience our driver Diego was professional and and knowledgeable. We had a wonderful time.

The best thing about Artur was our driver, Francesca. Not only was she an excellent driver, but she knew just win to speak with us, and give us highlights and information of where we were heading and she knew when not to speak and just let us enjoy the view, it’s very important. If you’re going on this excursion that you wear comfortable shoes and are able to walk up the hills. Definitely worth it. Picturesque, beautiful and a different experience. Francesca made the drive comfortable she handled those tiny mountainous Rose, expertise and confidence.

The tour was AMAZING!! What made it great was our tour guide Francesca. She was wonderful! Patient, flexible, funny, kind hearted and shared a lot of stories of the different places we visited. The Tour’s Company Ciao Italy Tours Viareggio is truly AMAZING! They are attentive, honest and really know what they’re doing. We had a great experience! Truly recommend it!

We had a fabulous day. Davide was flexible and changed the itinerary for our private tour at the last minute and we had the best guide. I highly recommend this company. They treat you. like family.

Francesca was very professional pleasant and knowledgeable. She made our experience wonderful and unforgettable

We were a large group, 3 vans of 8 people. We requested to stick together and to have English speaking guides, and this tour company delivered! We had heavy rain on way to Cinque Terre, so guides adjusted the schedule, and we started at furthest town and then worked our way back. Unfortunately, due to the weather adjustment we were only able to visit 2 of the 3 towns planned. Actually, that worked well. This way, we were able to spend more time in the two towns we visited vs really quick stops in three. Our drivers/tour guides were Diego, Stefano and Nicholetta and all of us enjoyed each of these guides. Safe drivers, providing great tour info on the drive and worked hard to adjust with the weather to give us the best experience possible. Then we had a walking guide for the towns, Lisa. She was excellent and patient with all of this group of 24. I highly recommend using a guide, well worth it! I highly recommend this tour - everyone enjoyed Cinque Terre as one of our best tours on our cruise!Only recommendation I would suggest to the tour company is to have a microphone for the driver and a speaker in back of van so that the back two rows of riders can hear about the sights along the way.
