Charlotte Travel Guides (Updated September 2026)

If you are visiting Charlotte, definitely add this excursion to your plans. We've visited the city 3 times, but decided to try something different, and we are so glad we did. Caleb showed us and taught us things about the city we would've never learned on our own. This was some of the best money we spent.

We had an absolutely wonderful tour! We learned a lot, even the kids liked it! Josh was an amazing tour guide- highly recommend!

We had a wonderful experience schlepping around downtown Charlotte for more the 90 minutes (bad traffic) with Danny in his van. The tour is a great value and Danny is really into what he does. Loved all his stories and history tidbits. Definitely recommend this adventure to learn a bit about downtown Charlotte.

The guide was great, she knew a lot of history besides knowing the ghost stories. A lot of fun for everyone.

Our driver Danny was great! He spoke non-stop during the 90 minute tour, gave us so much history of all the buildings, the town and famous people from Charlotte. Great way to spend an afternoon and get a feel for everything.

It is tremendous fun and it also entertains as you ride around the city. We gave a lot of people a happy moment.We had John as our guide and he was both incredibly knowledgeable, engaging, enthusiastic and informative, blending his knowledge with our interest. Excellent 90 minutes.

We enjoyed our bus tour of Charlotte! It had the right amount of historical context to help us understand how the city grew where it is.

We had a remarkable tour with David Allen Thomas. His command of Charlotte’s history was absolutely breathtaking. His wealth of knowledge was simply astounding. His love for all things Charlotte was inspiring and endearing. He has a lovely personality and great sense of humor. It was a luxury to be with someone who is authentic and loves what he does. It was amazing. Beautiful fishes and very nicely laid out. Easy to find inside the mall and amazing gift shop

Pleasant museum to spend a couple hours. Nice mix of art eras and mediums. Saw some of my favorite artists.

Awesome guide! It rained on our tour, and she gave her umbrella to one of the guests. Did the entire tour standing in sometimes pouring rain. Great stops along the way.

We had an absolutely fabulous time on this tour! The animals were so cute and believe it or not were very comfortable to ride on….90 minutes went by in a flash and we were sad when it was over. Carol and John were so nice, and John’s narration of the historic sights was excellent. Prepare for a lot of videos and photos to be taken by people who are not even on the tour. We wholeheartedly recommend this tour and wish we had one where we live!
