Can Tho Travel Guides (Updated September 2026)

It was an amazing experience, our guide, Nga, was very friendly and helpful. She explained everything and had answers for all our questions. She even helped us get the local price at the market. All in all a great experience that I can definitely recommend to everyone.

We were the only two people on the boat and Quyen took care of us. She did an outstanding job in giving us all the information about Can Tho and the floating market and made sure we were always well fed 😊 it was really nice trip and I would recommend it to every friend and family member

We only had a short time in HCMC, so we decided to do this tour in one day to explore the floating markets and the Mekong delta. We were picked up from HCMC and everything from booking to the trip itself went very smoothly. Especially our guide Trinh made the day special! We learned so much and she made it very fun! Thank you for the great tour!

We had a nice cycling tour through the beautiful Delta and experienced adventurous roads, deliciously fresh fruits, and mystical tree landscapes. With our helpful guide Thi we gained insight into the hidden gems of the Mekong Delta while learning more about vietnamese culture and everyday life. Recommended!

We enjoyed a private bicycle tour together with Thi. If you want to experience the unknown paths of the mekong delta, this bike tour os perfect for you! We had lush fruits, visited a monastery and only encountered local people on our tour. Thi is a knowledgeable and caring guide, we can only recommend this tour

Fantastic Mekong experience

I've done this tour over and over because I enjoy it so much. Most of the times I've done the tour is part of a larger open tour group. But have done the private tour twice, which I prefer.This year I had some family with me and they really enjoyed it as well. Our guide Phong was very helpful and friendly. He helped me before the tour by assisting with confirming w dinner reservation and after the tour with providing some local recommendations for dining and shopping.I also wanted to visit a specific noodle factory, which he was glad to accommodate. The breakfast on the boat was amazing. The banh mi, probably the freshest bread I've had. The Hu Tiêu was very good!! As was the Cà Phê Sữa ĐáWhen I return, I'll be sure to request Phong specifically as my guide. The boat driver Min, was also very lovely and was delighted to have her as our boat operator. Highly recommend this tour.

Overall, a nice experience and slow ride down the river to see (mainly) Phong Dien and Cai Rang market.Phong Dien was a small market of less than 10 boats. But what it lacks in scale was made up for by the authentic environment. In some ways, it is rather sad and you wonder how long this market will survive. Catch it before it is gone forever!Cai Rang, was much bigger, and wasn’t that crowded when we arrived. Though there were many boats selling coffee and breakfast to cater to the tourists, there were still whole-sellers here paddling their wares. We also had tea and fruits on one ò the boats.We also visited a noodle making factory and a small fruit garden/farm. Interesting but not the highlight.Nga is a good guide that takes care of you. Overall, a good experience and (in my view) worth the effort to get wake up at 4am.If I can make a suggestion, I would say to take the car to Phong Dien before making the way down the river by boat. You will miss the sights in the morning of people getting ready but could get more sleep.

It was a very nice tour overall. Especially our guide Nhung was very nice and gave and many explanations about the country and people in very good English. The tour can definitely be highly recommended.

We did the bike tour, which really nice. Visiting local gardens with fruit, vegetables and herbs. We got to taste different kinds of fresh fruit, which were really good. Our guide was really good and took us around the local spots.

During our trip to Vietnam we stayed for a short time in the nice Homestay Song Ngư Pisces in Van Tho. We booked a bike tour through Local Vietnam where we visited the following things. A fruit farm, the incredibly large ficus tree and a Buddhist temple. We crossed a river on a ferry that looked like it came out of an old movie. All in all a very nice afternoon and experience. We were lucky to be accompanied by a very cool, competent guide. Nguyen Thanh Hien. If you want to do this excursion, I would definitely ask for him

Antran is such an incredible person! I had a few tours in Vietnam but this was by far the best one. She is knowledgeable, funny, and this was an absolute highlight of our trip. If you're thinking about doing the floating market I highly highly recommend using her and the tour is great. The markets won't be around forever sadly.

After being picked up at the hotel at 5.30am we could see the sunrise from the motorboat on our way to the Floating Market in Cai Rong. Of course, some tourist boats are on the way, but mostly locals were on their small and inhabited boats to buy and sell goods. Thanks to the interesting explanations and stories of our very competent guide An we got a good insight about life on/on the river! During our stops on the Mekong as well as later ashore in a cocoa plantation there were various tastings: Soup, juice, tea, coffee, dried fish/frog, homemade noodles, fruit as well as cocoa and chocolate. An all around great trip with a nice group and An, our great travel companion!

I had a great time with Trinh. She gave me lots of information about the surroundings and recommendations about food tasting. We first went to the swimming market and had some soup, then we went to a canal and in the end we saw a beautiful garden with many fruits. In the end Tàm the boat driver gave me some self made presents. I really enjoyed the time and recommend it to anyone who likes the tour more private. Thank you for the experience
