This excursion took a busload of us from Burnie to Wing's Wildlife Park in Tasmania. The park was full of native animals and birds, and there were great opportunities to take photos because you were close to the animals. Our tour guide Dennis, a native Tasmanian, told us a lot about the areas we drove through to get to the wildlife park. We also stopped by the Emu Valley Rhododendron Garden on our way back to Burnie although the rhodies were not in season in April. It was definitely a worthwhile excursion.

Hand feed Kangaroos
WOW !!! If you want to interact w/kangaroos, this is the experience to do it on. There were lots of other animals to see, however, I was coming here for the kangaroo experience and I totally got my money's worth. The kangaroo enclosure is a wide open area where you can walk around and freely interact w/the kangaroos. Buy a bag of feed while you are in the store. The kangaroos know the crinkle of the bag , its funny to watch them react to it. They were so docile and would hop right up to us and a couple even gently grabbed our arms to lower our hands so the could eat the food right out of our hands. Some were sleeping, some didn't want to be bothered and would avoid us, and several were very happy to eat. It was the sweetest experience to just freely walk among them and wait for them to come to us and eat what we offered. The other animals were interesting, but the kangaroos were the BEST !

Excellent tour
We took this tour from our cruise ship while visiting Burnie. The company is very flexible. On the morning of our arrival, we were delayed 2 hrs. When I contacted eGuide, they were already aware and rescheduled the tour around our arrival. We appreciate the flexibility!When we arrived at the Visitor's Center, Marie (our guide) was waiting for us. There were 6 in our group and we were in a comfortable van. Marie was an excellent guide. She was friendly, knowledgeable, and made sure that we got to see everything on the tour. In fact, she took a little longer since our ship didn't leave until late evening.We enjoyed all the stops. The Wildlife Center had a variety of animals and we got to interact with kangaroos. The gardens were very pretty even though it's wasn't in bloom (we saw a platypus). We also enjoyed the waterfall and the other, shorter, stops.We highly recommend this tour.

A great day out in the Burnie area.
Burnie was the best day of our cruise - thanks to John. He gave us a great day out, adjusting the itinerary to suit the weather and providing us with a lot of local information. Communication about the pick-up was confusing as it was not from the dock as shown, but from the shuttle stop in town.

Wombats and wallabies
Fun tour with lots of sites. We were able to hike at our comfort level and not feel like we were too fast or too slow. Mark did a good job of getting us back to the shuttle on time.

Exploring at Burnie
We enjoyed our trip . It covered places further out from the town. It was good to see some countryside. Penguin was a lovely spot. We enjoyed the Emu Valley Gardens very much and could have spent more time there. The guide was very informative. It was a good trip for the time the ship was in port.

Cradle Mountain
We went to Dove Lake and were able to hike around for over an hour. It was beautiful! Our driver Mark was knowledgeable and very engaging.

Great customer service
We had scheduled this excursion but due to an unfortunate event were not able to enjoy it. Regardless, John was amazing in accommodating our situation. This review is solely based on our interaction with him, not the trip to Cradle Mountain National Park. But given our positive experience, I'm sure the day would have been outstanding. I look forward to being able to rebook it in the future.

A very relaxing informative excursion. A personal experience rather than the large big bus situation. My wife had a recent knee injury prior to the excursion. John stopped at his house and gave her a cane allowing her to enjoy the excursion much more.

Awesome Tasmanian Wildlife Park
We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Wings Wildlife Park! There were so many different animals to see, from rodents to birds to mammals! We were enthralled with being able to feed and pet the kangaroos. And we were able to witness the Tasmanian devil feeding! We learned a lot about so many of the native animals to Tasmania.

Fun Wildlife & Nature Tour
We really enjoyed this tour. At Wings Wildlife Park, we saw several Aussie animals, fed kangaroos, and petted a koala bear. Even though the rhododendrons were not in bloom toward the end of summer, walking around Emu Valley Rhododendron Garden was pretty and it was fun searching for platypus in the lakes.
