Buena Vista Travel Guides (Updated October 2026)

We had a great time for our half-day rafting. Our guide, Parker, took us to the first part of Numbers and even with the drought, there was plenty of water and rapids to enjoy. We enjoyed being the only ones on the river and in a small raft of the 3 of us with our guide. Parker was great. He let us know what to expect and guided us through some tight spots without much difficulty.

This was a bucket list item I would definitely do again! Joey and Bailey were awesome and fun to hang with. We will be back for sure. 🛶

Hayden was our guide and he was very knowledgeable, personable and experienced. We had a great time. First time and it couldn’t have been better! 💕

It was a great first experience for our family. Micah was our guide, super knowledgeable and friendly. We felt comfortable on the river with him and enjoyed the conversation along the way! Highly recommend!

My brother and I came out to Colorado to seek some fun adventures and this place was great for zip-lining! Josh and Autumn made us feel comfortable the whole time and kept it such a fun atmosphere! Can’t forget the little visits from the dog, miss Hella, at the end of some of the zip lines :)

Autumn, Erin and beautiful pup Hella were kind, professional, fun! Beautiful views too! Great way to spend a birthday!

Very good experience! Easy to reserve, pick up and return bikes. The owner was so helpful and knowledgeable.had a lot of fun riding around BV and beyond!

Despite ending up with a rainy trip, we had a fantastic time! The guides were knowledgeable and entertaining. We never felt unsafe and enjoyed the scenery and wildlife.

Excellent experience. Guide Autumn was super! Good instructions. Felt safe. Boys 10-14 had a great time. Want to go again. Plenty of time to do several courses.

We did the Browns Canyon LOWER on August 14th. Our guide was Molly and she was excellent! She knew the river very well and was very clear with her instruction and FUN! We've done several rafting trips with numerous companies, but Browns Canyon Rafting had a great check in/ office. They had a store, in case you forgot anything, along with clean bathrooms and changing areas. I will definitely book with them again!

Emu was our guide. She had great energy. The river was low but she said their motto when the river is low is “low tide, high vibes”. She was great fun and had us do some maneuvers that are only possible when the water is low. I went with my wife and 13 year old son. We did the half day trip and it was perfect. Definitely recommend.

We had the best time with Grace! She was a big part of why the experience was so great! 10/10 recommend!

The whole team was really helpful and knowledgeable. Friendly atmosphere and explained all risk ahead of time.

Highly recommend this tour company. Our guide, Shaun, is a very experienced river guide. We had a talk about safety talk and practiced paddling before we started down the river. He gave an overview of what we needed to do before each set of rapids. Overall it was a great experience.

Steve gave a great ghost tour... He touched upon a lot of the history of Salida including it's grisly and ghostly past! Along the way he pointed out which buildings in town are the most haunted and gave us multiple stories about sightings and run-ins with ghosts! Great tour and we would recommend it!

Low water levels didn’t stop us from having a great day. Brandon is an excellent river guide - safety, fun, info…
