Bonn Travel Guides (Updated September 2026)

We finally found a way to make sightseeing not so boring for teenagers. Along the way, you could see a shop or a café where you could break things up a bit. The boys solved the puzzles and it was just right in terms of the points and the distances. Not too much or too little. Everything fits. We would love to do it again in other cities. Even in familiar ones that we only know as a shopping city. Sightseeing usually falls by the wayside if you don't have a framework for it.

Excellent walking guide by Dr Jo Eckardt. Just about as good as having her walk with us. The GPS enabled tech made it easy to walk the route of the map and have narration begin as we approached each stop along the way.

We thoroughly enjoyed our tour of Bonn. Our guide was very personable, cheerful, informative and gracious. We would definitely recommend both our guide and this walking tour.

We did the Explorial tour in Bonn with friends. We had a blast. I knew the operator from other cities. Booking was an easy decision. They did not disappoint. It is a great interactive city tour. You solve fun riddles at your own pace and it takes about 2 hours. It offers godd value for money. I would deffinetly recommend it for groups!

Very comfortable on board, friendly and welcoming staff on board. It’s a beautiful trip down the Rhine to Linz. It’s worth getting off in Linz to spend a couple of hours there.

It was a great way to se the sights of Bonn. The tor was informative and the GPS guidance was very good.

For the price, I think it’s an excellent cruise that takes you up and down the Rhine river. I visited Bon almost every time. I’m in Europe as I have family here, but never did the river cruise. I’m so glad I did it. I saw castles, cute towns, wonderful trails, and more. Wish I would’ve done it sooner. I purchased a round trip ticket this time. Next time plan to stop in Linz to again hike the castle.They also serve food, beer, wine, cocktails, and other nonalcoholic drinks.

Falke was a great guide and we had a wonderful tour that included great food, history, architecture and facts about Bonn. Falke really loves Bonn and he his tour was fun and interesting. He spent extra time with us and continued giving us facts and stories. We learned so much and had a wonderful day with Falke.

Friedrich was deeply knowledgeable and pleasant guide. It was also nice that we could tailor the route to my specific needs.

Good way to discover cities, specially the ones with less major things to see. We did it in Bonn and was just perfect to walk around in a fun way

Brigitte was very thorough in explaining Bonn from Roman times till today. She had deep understanding of the role the Cathederal has played in Bonn's history...and of course it is the birthplace of Beethoven.

Very nice and informative. Explanation was in English and very easy to follow. Kids, 11 and 13, also really liked it! And delicious chocolate!

I did not do this tour but wanted to talk about the Bonn Christmas markets because they were the most spectacular little makers to start with in Winter time in Germany. We were travelling to Phantasialand and then went to Bonn and there we did the Xmas markets and they were delightful and full of fun and the people were all there having fun and enjoying themselves. So if you are travelling in Germany in November when the Christmas markets start and if you are travelling to Bonn, do not miss out on the fun and delightful Xmas markets there.

We discovered the highlights of Bonn in a fun way with our teenagers; the battle for points was fierce and fun facts were learned.

Friendly host, very professional explanations, delicious chocolates with extraordinary flavors. highly recommended.
