Samir Gaber was a fabulous tour guide. He was very informative and gave us a lot of information about Abu Simbal. He even gave us ice creams as a special treat after lunch!

Sam was a wonderful guide through the whole day. He was very knowledgeable and friendly. I would highly recommend him and this enchanting journey through history.

This was such an informative and relaxing tour from Aswan to Luxor. The Emo Tours team and tour guide crew were incredibly easy to work with and very accommodating. We want to give a very special shoutout to our tour guide, Mohamed Hashimi, who literally took care of everything for us (including taking some great family pictures of us!) and made each tour sight a very educational and enjoyable experience!

The tour I took to Luxor on July 14, 2025 was great. Mohammed our driver today was also our driver yesterday to Abu Simbel and he was so awesome. Our tour guide Khaled was amazing as well, knew the Spanish language well and knowledgeable about the history and the sites. We just had an inconvenience with the traffic police coming back from Luxor. They were relentless and forced our driver to take another route. We should have been back in our hotel in three hours and we were on the road for 5 hours. That’s not his fault and I know police departments are a pain in any country but these tour companies should present a united front and complain about how these traffic police make these drivers pay money just to cross. That makes tourists scared and uncomfortable. We felt bad about how much money he had to pay just to get us to Luxor and back to our hotel. Poor guy probably lost money for the day after paying the police at every stop. The extra time to get back to Aswan made us miss other potential activities as well.Luxor was a gem and is absolutely beautiful with tons to see and lots of history, worth visiting but if you’re doing a day trip from Aswan or another city, think about staying in Luxor directly and doing the tours from there. Even though the police may not harass the tourists directly, the drivers are bearing the brunt of the harassment and bribes to the police. It makes any tourist not even want to come here. These tourist agencies and tour operators need to make a firm declaration against this nonsense. We know no country is perfect but in a country where tourism drives a lot of the economy, measures need to be taken to ensure the tourist experience is as worry and stress free as possible. In no circumstance did we feel this driver was supported by the tour agency, we felt extremely bad for him and he was just defeated by the end of the day after so much harassment. Thank goodness nothing worse happened but it certainly could have. This is super scary for all involved. So think very carefully about doing these tours from smaller cities into the main hubs. (Luxor, Cairo, etc.). It makes me think very cautiously about ever coming back to Egypt and with so much still remaining to see it saddens me that I’ll possibly not see more of what’s available to see here or what may be discovered in the future.

Our trip to Luxor was a great experience overall. We visited all the major landmarks as planned, and our guide, Ayman, was incredibly knowledgeable—sharing detailed insights into the history of each temple and even capturing some professional photos and videos for us.However, the pickup and drop-off point was changed at the last minute, which was disappointing and caused a delay to the start of the tour. Despite this miscommunication from the tour operator, Ayman’s expertise truly made the day memorable.

Visits were incredible, and increasing quality with time. The boutique part was predictible as it is a trap for tourists but it was still a very good experience. Our guide knowledge and explanations were great. He was adaptable and even changed langage and switch for us. The driver was very nice and always on time, made us feel secure on the road, drove very quick and very professional and even brought us snacks. Just keep in mind that Emo Tour offers to start at 7am or 8am but we did not have the choice and accepted 6am.

Can't recommend this trip enough! The best way to travel between Luxor and Aswan for sure!! Tayso from Emo tours helped us change dates last minute with no issue and provided us with a modern, large and comfortable, air conditioned SUV. Our driver and guide Ahmed Eid were great. We learned a lot and were able to spend lots of time wandering around the magnificent temples of Kom Umbu and Edfu (a cannot miss!) Ahmed was in high spirits and is in general a really very brotherly and fun guide. Considering they had to drive all the way back to Aswan once they droped us off in Luxor and it was actually a holiday for them, we can't express enough our appreciation and gratitude for the amazingly positive and energetic experience. Highly recommend!!

Our tour guide was Khaled Saady! We had an amazing time with him! He was extremely knowledgeable and passionate about Egyptology and shared that passion with us! He taught us so much about Egyptian history and kept us hydrated throughout a long and hot day (105 degrees)! We would not have enjoyed our tour without such an amazing tour guide! Highly recommend and the price is extremely reasonable since you’re being driven from and to Aswan with an amazing Egyptian lunch and driver! Highly recommend!

Our guide, Ms Ghada Khalaf did an amazing job, despite the heat and Ramadan (no food and water for her). She had a lot of knowledge, but also a good sense of humor. The driver from Aswan to Luxor was also very professional. We had a great day of discovery!

A wonderful tour with a wonderful guide and driver. Our tour guide Sam was wonderful. I ended up very ill at the start of the tour due to something I had eaten the night before. I felt miserable. Sam stopped at a pharmacy and purchased medication for me. After a few hours, I started to feel better. Throughout the tour, Sam was very attentive to how I was feeling. This meant a lot since this was a long tour. He did all he could to ensure that we had a great tour regardless of how I felt. Sam was wonderful with my son. They spent the tour playing soccer with the rocks at the sights. I really appreciated him entertaining my son. The sights were amazing. Sam was knowledgeable about the sights and their history. This added to the enjoyment of the tour. I would highly recommend Emotours and Sam specifically if you are looking for a great tour with a caring and fun tour guide.

It was a great idea to reserve this tour. Mohammed, the driver for this excursion did not speak fluent English; however, enough to communicate. He was courteous and punctual. My guide Ashraf was incredible. I enjoyed my visit to the valley of the kings, Karnak temple, and Luxor temple. If you visit the museum of Egyptian History in Cairo, you must visit the tomb of Tutankhamun, it will be an extra ticket but worthed. Big recommendation, these tours will always include a visit to a papyrus store or alabaster store, my recommendation is not to but anything there since it is extremely expensive and you can find the same things at the bazar. Lunch was good,and I really enjoy visiting Luxor, I would definitely visit it again and hire the same tour.

It was an amazing tour, the best way to travel from Aswan to Luxor. On the way I could visit the temples of Kom Ombo and Edfu. In Kom Ombo - beside the double temple itself - one can see a no meter and mummified crocodiles. Edfu temple was not destroyed and already therefore gives a different impression. It was wonderful to be accompanied by such a kind with so much knowledge about the sites itself, but also history, mythology, hieroglyphs and much more. It was a great pleasure to spend this day with Rasha Mohamed, who studied beside other subjects hieroglyphs at university for several years. So I learned a lot, while having an unforgettable and entertaining day. At the end I reached Luxor my next destination with no specific travel time in a nice air conditioned car with a superb driver. Highly recommended!

The tour to Abu simbel was very good with the visit to philae temple. We had a nice experience crossing the desert. We had an excellent guide in Spanish called Amany. I recommend her to all client of Emo

The trip was great with most of the sightseeing spots covered in Luxor. Our guide Heshem was very considerate & he took care of us really well

Heba Abd El Montaleb was the best guide we could have asked for. She took her time and did not try to rush through the explanations of the different archaeological sites and was very well informed as the information she provided was in depth but still succinct. Additionally, she went out of her way to buy us local pastries and got us the best falafel! She definitely went above and beyond!
