Almeria 2026 Calendar of Events

This was an amazing adventure. We took a taxi from town to get there on time and a bus back. That worked very well and gave us time to relax at a small restaurant between kayaking and the bus. Only thing to know is there are no bathrooms until a restaurant opens! Other than that, our guide was fabulous and the tour was incredible.

Cathy, the tour guide was both extremely friendly and knowledgeable. We visited several locations and there was great and plentiful amounts of food and drinks. My husband was stuffed full by the last venue. His loss because it was the best so I ate his as well. Almeria was very easy to navigate and the tour did not involve lengthy walks in between stops. I would definitely recommend 👌.

It wasn’t just an excellent tapas tour, but an historical and cultural education and experience. Cathy was energetic, knowledgeable and interested in answering all our questions and teaching us about all things Almeria. It was a delightful experience!

We (2 couples) recently spent a day with Cathy on her Almeria city and tapas tour - we all had an absolute blast and cannot recommend her highly enough. The morning was spent waking around the city and her knowledge of local history etc is second to none. The afternoon was heaven - several different tapas bars, sampling dishes we’ve never had before and washing bot all down with lots of excellent beer and wine. Has to be one of the best trips we’ve ever done.

Super fun and beautiful information and good snorkels! Saw beautiful fish! Thanks Jason

We did the kayak excursion to the Mermaid Reef and we recommend this company 100%. The service was excellent and the organization perfect! We had a great time!

Very good experience, very well organized and highly recommended. The site is spectacular and the instructors are very pleasant, very professional and attentive to ensuring everything is very dynamic and fun.

🌊 An Amazing Day Exploring Cabo de Gata 🌊What a fantastic day exploring the beautiful Cabo de Gata-Níjar Natural Park with Pepe Tours! From the moment we were picked up by coach, the day was made even better by our fantastic host, Christian. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the area and shared so much fascinating information throughout the trip, particularly about the local flora and fauna. His enthusiasm and knowledge really brought the landscape to life. Our first stops included the stunning salt flats, where we were lucky enough to see flamingos in their natural surroundings. We then headed towards the spectacular Mermaid’s Cove and Cabo de Gata Lighthouse, where the scenery was simply breathtaking. The dramatic volcanic coastline, crystal-clear Mediterranean and incredible views made this one of those places where you just have to stop and take it all in. (Pepe Tours)We then spent around three hours in San José, which was the perfect amount of time to relax and explore. The beach there is absolutely beautiful, with the most amazing white sand and the clearest sea water I think I’ve ever seen. It was the perfect way to finish such a memorable day.A huge thank you to Christian for being such a brilliant host and making the whole experience so enjoyable. His knowledge, friendliness and sense of humour really added to the day.If you’re staying in the Almería area, I would highly recommend a trip to Cabo de Gata with Pepe Tours. Beautiful scenery, amazing wildlife, fascinating information and a gorgeous beach to finish the day — what more could you ask for?⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A fantastic day out and one we’ll definitely remember!

Magical - I became a child once again!

CV was really great, there are magnificent sets and the staff is great.. we have a carriage ride included in the price.. we also took the 12.50 buffet, dishes and drinks.. it was decent... We enjoyed the pool around 11:00 AM, we were alone, it was perfect!! Very beautiful day, especially if you have memories related to westerns.

We received a great tour from Pauline. She was right on time to our meeting point and had scheduled a very complete 2-hour tour. She was very knowledgeable and provided helpful insights from the perspective of an ex-pat teacher who had moved to Almeria as an adult; she anticipated questions that visitors might have about Spain and Almeria. We felt we learned much more than we would have on our own so this was a very worthwhile tour.

Well planned day. Travelled to various different photographic spots in the Cabo de Gata and then had some free time in San Jose. It was a relaxed day. Christian was really informative and shared lots of history and background. Yes there is quite a bit of time spent in the coach but it’s the only way to get to each for the different points of interest. The tour did exactly what it said it would. Prompt pick up and excellent communication before the tour. Thank you.

Charlie was an amazing guide. Friendly, knowledgeable and kind. Made sure to tailor the tour to exactly what we wanted to see

Almeria was founded in the 10th century as a defensive outpost and around 933 the concept of the fortress was initiated under Adb al Rahman III. It remained under control of the Moors until late 1400's and then fell into disrepair and restoration commenced in the mid-twentieth century. The Alcazaba has been restored very well and is a remarkable old fortress on the hill at the back of Almeria. It is free to enter and a very interesting place and a must see in Almeria.

We had a super great morning with Tim and his lovely wife. A very valuable experience on many levels – very different from the usual city tours or boat tours. Here you learn something for life that is at the same time so closely connected to this special area of Andalusia. All of our four children were there with joy in the process of building their own home and fascinated by everything we learned there – in theory and practice. They usually have very different interests, but were all so enthusiastic about the possibilities and atmosphere in the workshop. Tim picked everyone up perfectly here and accompanied us all authentically and mindfully from start to finish. His enthusiasm for this extraordinary plant, music and sustainability and what he has made of it as a total work of art over the past three decades have skipped from the start.Although the workshop was a surprise for my wife and the children, everyone wanted to continue for much longer. The three hours flew by, and we wanted to get straight on with the next project. The first question after the end of the workshop was, "When are we coming back?".

Enjoyed our walking tour of Almeria. Our guide was very informative and interesting. Would definitely recommend this tour.
