This was a perfect day tour for 5 old pals looking for a sketch of County Clare. The day is not too structured, but with wonderful and varied stops, a perfumery, a castle relic, a sheep dog demonstration, the blustery and beautiful Cliffs of Moher, the haunting stones of The Burren, it felt complete. Top notch guide, friendly and considerate. We were glad David was behind the wheel up Corkscrew Hill.

We thoroughly enjoyed our Ennis Walking Tour with Dr. Jane O’Brien. We had gone on this walk in 2016 and were pleased to again enjoy this very fun and informative walk. There is so much history to see in Ennis and Jane makes seeing and learning about it very enjoyable.

Dr Jayne was incredibly knowledgeable! She did a fantastic job, walking us through the city and teaching us about the history of the Ennis. We walked at a very comfortable pace! Would definitely recommend!

We had a wonderful time learning about the local history of Ennis and surrounding areas with Dr. Jane O'Brien on this casual walk through the old town. Being a local, she provided an in-depth history of this lovely medieval market town and also answered questions and provided insights back to the neolithic, bronze and iron ages.

Dr. O'Brien provided an informative and entertaining tour of Ennis. She balanced her knowledge of archival research, enthusiasm, and humor for a perfect tour for us the morning we arrived at Shannon Airport from the States. It was a nice welcome to Country Clare and to Ireland in general. I have been to Ireland several times but wasn't aware of the significance and the importance to Ennis to the region.

A Must-do in Ennis
A delightful surprise! We five friends booked it last minute and I'm so glad we did. Dr. O'Brien provides so much history while making it fun. I didn't expect the food tasting to come out of a backpack, but it was perfect. We were able to taste food that went along with the history she was telling us. Finishing up at a deli was the perfect ending. Having a good guide is key to any successful tour and she is the best. I highly recommend this.

Excellent tour of the sites with lots of local commentary!
David was an excellent guide for our tour today, not only getting us to the main sites of Cliffs of Moher and the Burren, but also stopping at a perfumery and getting us to a sheep dog demonstration. He’s a local so knows both historical and current information about area, including seemingly knowing who lives in a lot of the houses we passed! Highly recommend!

Awesome day!
Wow… what a wonderful experience! Our tour guide Alan was great! It was so nice seeing all the sights and not having to rush. This tour was definitely one of the highlights of our trip. We really got a taste of the beauty, culture and history of Ireland. And lunch in Doolin was delicious! The tour was a splurge for us, but totally worth it!

Amazing trip with Niall
We really enjoyed our travels with Best of Ireland Tours. Our guide Niall thoughtfully planned out our week of travel with the best recommendations for sites and restaurants. He knew about experiences that we would not have found on our own. We really appreciated that he was always on time, very friendly, shared the inside scoop on all of the stops, and accommodated our special requests and interests. We definitely recommend a trip with Naill and Best of Ireland Tours!

I booked a private transfer from our Ennis hotel to Dublin hotel in Ireland for the 6 of and. I was worried that the trunk might not have enough space. Our driver Dermot showed on time with a very clean and nice van. He was very professional. He fit all our lugguage to the trunk! no worries there. I would not hesitate to book this transfer again. Wonderful tour guide
Niall Cleary at Best of Ireland Tours, is a wonderful tour guide! Our family toured Ireland with him for nearly a week, and we feel lucky to have found him. Niall is very knowledgeable and is happy to explain Irish customs, history, geography and just interesting facts that make your trip a richer experience. He's especially kind and considerate of his clients. He takes good care of you and knows every good place to eat lunch, grab a snack or use the restroom in Ireland! He’s also lots of fun and a delightful traveling companion - just talking and laughing with him as we rode in the van was one of the highlights of our trip.Niall’s planning process is thorough, with several pre-trip phone calls and good email communication. We gave him a very general idea of some places that we wanted to see, and from that he crafted an excellent detailed itinerary. He’s flexible and will make sure you see what you want to. He’s good at balancing the longer, busier days with occasional little breaks here and there so that you don’t feel over-scheduled. He’s also a responsible and reassuring driver.Highly recommend. Niall made our trip so great in so many ways, big and small, and we honestly feel as if we have a friend in Ireland now!

Entertaining walk through Ennis history
We had a lovely time walking through history and matching it with food items. There was enough time for photo ops at each stop. It was fun watching each new item appear from Dr Jane's bag. The grand finale was a wonderful sit with great food. My only regret was that we didn't have time to make it back to Ennis for one of the music sessions recommended by the owner of the lovely gourmet food shop that was our last stop. I believe it would be a tour enjoyed by young and old alike.
