Our excursion through Strasbourg was a masterclass in storytelling.The route was incredibly well thought out, effortlessly taking us from the jaw-dropping scale of the Notre-Dame Cathedral into the picture-perfect, winding canal pathways of La Petite France. Our guide possessed an incredible wealth of knowledge, highlighting structural nuances in the ancient timber-framed houses and sharing anecdotes about the city’s complex past that you simply wouldn’t find in a guidebook.Everything about the day felt remarkably personal and unhurried. The organization was airtight, allowing us to absorb the magical atmosphere of the city seamlessly. They managed to make a historic walk feel energetic, lively, and profoundly memorable. This was undeniably the standout experience of our time in the region!

Booked a private day trip with Tour Up in Europe and overall it was very good. The driver was responsible, punctual, and careful throughout the tour. He showed strong knowledge of Belgian culture, architecture, and local traditions, making the tour informative and enjoyable. The only tiny suggestion is that the vehicle could have had better air conditioning on a warm day. Still, a wonderful way to explore Brussels with a knowledgeable guide. Would book again!

Our guide was warm, friendly and knowledgeable. She gave us lots of historical information and took us to both Colmar and Riquewihr. Amazing decorations everywhere. Very magical.

Our guide showed us around Strasbourg’s Christmas markets while sharing history about the city and the Notre-Dame Cathedral. It was an authentic perspective from a local. It was helpful to have such a knowledgeable guide amidst the crowds.

A really great Christmas market. The entire city center is decorated and there are stalls and attractions everywhere. The whole thing has the atmosphere of the old buildings. Really wonderful.

Our guide Lea was very nice. She drove 8 of us in a van. She was an excellent driver. We enjoyed our trip.It was a rainy day in Colmar and we wanted to go to the Chocolate museum. Between the excessive crowds and bad weather we didn’t get to see it. We did go to another city which was a bit less crowded. It was still very crowded but we did get to enjoy the Christmas market.I’m giving the company and the driver 5 stars because of Lea. She texted us places to go to that were inside because of the rain. When someone said they needed a restroom she immediately took us to a restroom. We also had one passenger who repeatedly told her to blow her van horn at a full sized tour bus loading mostly elderly passengers in the rain. It was in a roundabout and so there was no place for any cars go until they were finished. Lea responded very calmly to the man in our bus demanding that she start blowing her horn by simply saying “I will not.” Each time he demanded she said “I will not.” It took all of 7 minutes for the bus to be completely filled with passengers and on its way. I know because Lea announced the time once we were on our way. The 7 minutes to help others was a small price to pay. She kept her composure during and after the event. The lesson I learned from her that day was far more valuable to me than the sightseeing trip.

This day trip was so fun! Had enough time to explore 2 Christmas markets/towns as it was crowded on the weekend. Lea was an amazing guide! So knowledgeable about the areas.

A big thank you to Diana for being such a fantastic guide. She was knowledgeable, easy to talk to, and made the whole experience feel relaxed and enjoyable from start to finish. The wine tasting was a real highlight — the locations were well chosen, the atmosphere was great, and we never felt rushed. Everything was well organized yet still felt very personal.

This town felt even more authentic and full of soul compared to Paris. The tour was well-organized, engaging, and made us appreciate the experience so much more. We realized that having a guide makes all the difference in how you connect with a place. And for food lovers – the Alsacien pizza is a must-try!

Rebecca was knowledgeable, very respectful, and fun. She took us to the markets that we hadn't found yet. Amazing experience!

Benoit was phenomenal! He made our day in Strasbourg so special by giving us the most personal and informative tour of the city. He patiently answered all our questions and did an excellent job teaching us about the history of both the city/region overall and the history of Christmas in Strasbourg, too. This was a wonderful tour to Colmar and Riquewihr. Our guide was wonderful and kept us on time. I could go back and spend a few days in Colmar but this was a great way to get an initial glimpse of the town and its Christmas magic. Highly recommend in lieu of the overcrowded buses.

You see only two villages with 1.45 hours of free time in each village. Lots of crowds at Xmas time so be prepared
