Top Lefkada Dining Experiences

My wife and I visited the Lefkada Microfarm for a tour on our Lefkada vacation. I didn’t have many expectations when I booked this, but safe to say they were exceeded.The tour provided a good look at an authentic Microfarm, as well as a very educated and technical explanation of the farming and production of olive oil. Very happy with this experience.

This such a special farm and olive oil experience! A quick introduction and a tour of the micro farm showed us a completely organic operation, completely rid of any chemicals. In addition to learning about the olive growing process, we learned about much of the other fruits and herbs that were growing on the farm. The tasting itself was also an enlightening experience as we compared 5 different kinds of oils while cleansing our pallet with the fresh vegetables of the farm and observing some young kittens.

We had an “inspiring” experience during our private (as a couple) “farm to table experience” at Andreas’ micro farm.This earlier cleaning business man made the switch to natural organic cultivation on old family land.With enthusiasm he showed us around his 50-70 meters with olive and fruit trees and his washed-plant-herbs. Wonderful to see and hear how he learns, also things go wrong and the successes such as a top olive oil that scored at a worldwide competition.We then ate deliciously from the meal prepared by him together with his mother of those super fresh and flavorful products. It was really a great experience!

Wonderful experience; you will love what "real" food tastes like. The flavor's are amazing! It was educational for the whole family.

This was an incredible experience! Andreas is doing amazing things that we should all be taking his lead for a healthier environment, not to mention his olive oil is the best I've had and I have tasted many olive oils! We had dinner at the farm; what a fabulous experience. The tour of the farm by Andreas was so interesting and it is a pleasure to experience his passion for his farm and his ethos on life. We then had a rare treat at dinner as his mother was cooking. Wow, the food was so delicious. Utterly delicious. A fantastic experience and look forward to returning.

We spent an incredible day with Andreas on the micro farm! It was so interesting to learn all about the sustainable farming and experience great quality local produce.So refreshing to be immersed in nature and see, smell & taste fresh peas, strawberries and herbs.It felt like an oasis of calm. We made bread in the outdoor oven, Tsatskiki, Greek salad and roasted vegetables with herbs.The experience was really relaxed and didn’t feel rushed at all. If you’re in Lefkada, you HAVE to visit the micro farm, and experience everything - especially the quality ingredients made into traditional Greek recipes.Thanks again Andreas 👍

The owner knows how to tell inspiringly about the origins of his organic farm and about the different types of olive oil. Then you will look differently when you buy olive oil in future. Furthermore, the cats and little goat are very cute. Walk good after the owner.

Andreas was really welcoming when we first arrived. We were shown round the farm with particular emphasis on the olive trees, how they’ve been maintained and harvested. We were given a detailed explanation about how oil is produced and the quality analysed. Then we had 5 different oils to taste starting with the worst quality up to the best. Andreas is very knowledgable and obviously passionate about his olive grove and his farm.

This was a very informative session While I have always used EVOO, this experience provided a good deal of information on what to look for when selecting olive oil to really enhance your meals. I took that information home with me and my taste buds are thrilled with my lunchtime salads as a result. Highly recommend.

Andreas is an amazing person with impeccable English and a talented talker. His farm is beautiful and his olive oil is top quality. Definitely recommended.

Enthusiastic Andreas, was both informative, and entertaining. We enjoyed hearing about his journey from taking over this small family farm to production of some really outstanding olive oil. We enjoyed his passion, the tasting, his lovely cats and learned a lot. It was good to see, that with the right attitude, care and ethics you can produce something wonderful.

My wife and I visited the Lefkada Micro Farm early in July. We really enjoyed our visit and Andreas was an excellent host and incredibly knowledgeable about all things Olive Oil. The farm is a little bit out of the way if you are staying in the main town, but is easily accessible by taxi, car, or bike. I highly recommend the Olive Oil Experience to anyone wanting to learn more about how olive oil is made and the different qualities and taste properties of olive oil.

We were really interested to hear how Andreas has escaped the rat race to live a fulfilling life on his late Grandfather's micro farm. He was enthusiastic, hospitable and knowledgeable. An excellent way to spend 2 hours learning more about olive oil!
