The experience was absolutely perfect! The guide was professional, kind, and very knowledgeable. He explained so much about the nature and history of the area with great expertise. ❤️He was very friendly and engaging with us, asked questions, and even made little quizzes. We truly enjoyed spending time with him.In addition to his excellent guiding skills, he also showed great talent in navigating the water and guided us on how to paddle so that we could safely overcome every obstacle in the river.Thank you so much for a perfect experience! Fantastic morning
Really lovely morning, pick up was organised the day before. This all went smoothly. We were given stories of the river and its powers on the way. On arrival we were advised what to do, we were early to arrive before most, and parked close, so not too far to walk (15 mins max). We then had lots of free time to explore. We walked down the river, there are no walks as it is rocks on either side of the river so you have to go in the water if you want to see it properly. The water was extremely cold but only knee - waist deep. We then returned and did a raft ride ( extra cost) but this was lovely, in the opposite direction to the walk . You raft for approx 30 mins then they drive you back in a vehicle . Very pretty views. Finally we had lunch at a taverna on the river where our guide and bus driver was waiting. They were able to look after our stuff while in the water. I would recommend water shoes an old t- shirt to keep warm for walking down the river. You can then change afterwards for your trip back, An excellent day, Yvonne was really informative, friendly snd kind. She has fallen in love with Parga. A really lovely trip.

Our guide at Alpine was Haris—a true professional and a natural leader—along with Giorgos. They were funny and instilled a real sense of confidence in us, allowing us to simply enjoy the experience and stay focused on them and the scenery. We also want to thank Alpine for being so attentive and for their wonderful effort in addressing everyone's individual needs. All in all, we had a fantastic time; we’ve kept thinking back on the experience, which was nothing short of excellent.

We had an absolutely fantastic day exploring the beautiful Epirus region and visiting the spectacular Zagori villages with Ioannis.The scenery was simply breathtaking, from the dramatic Vikos Gorge to the picturesque mountain landscapes and the incredible traditional stone bridges. The charm of the villages, combined with the warmth and friendliness of the local people, made the experience truly special.Our guide, Ioannis, was exceptional. He was a wealth of knowledge about the region, its history, culture and traditions, and his great sense of humour made the day even more enjoyable. He was also extremely accommodating and flexible, ensuring that we could make the most of every moment and experience the region at our own pace.Ioannis went above and beyond to make our day memorable, and his passion for Epirus really shone through. We saw some truly spectacular places and created wonderful memories that we will treasure.

Hiking Vikos Gorge was one of the highlights of our trip. Our guide, Alexis, made the experience exceptional. Our family of five, including three older teens, loved his enthusiasm and deep knowledge of the region's geology, plants, history, and culture. His passion for Zagori is contagious, and the stunning scenery, combined with his expert guidance, made for an unforgettable day. Highly recommend Alexis and Alpine Zone!

Amazing Experience
This was such a fantastic day out. From the communication beforehand until we got out of the car at the end. Ioannis was an amazing guide - so knowledgeable and interesting and he genuinely had a passion for explaining the sites that we visited. He was friendly and funny (with some great music in the car as well) and made sure that me and my daughter had a really brilliant experience from beginning to end. We saw all the historic sites locally and I learned so much that I didn’t know (not too difficult). We were transported in a spotless, air conditioned car, with air conditioning (and great music as I said) and at the end of the day I was sent 100 photos and a few videos of the day which is a brilliant souvenir. Ioannis even shared some authentic Greek recipes with us and I’m looking forward to trying these as soon as I’m home.

A great experience! Our guide Alexis knows these mountains, villages, and roads by heart! He had planned everything, even umbrellas because rain was forecast in the afternoon. He was also attentive to our visit requests and answered our questions as best as possible! This guided tour of the Zagoria was really a plus for us (private tour for two people): Alexis told us historical anecdotes, but also architectural ones and those relating to daily life in these villages, which really enriched the visit and our discovery of the places! I recommend AlpineZone.gr .
