Nairobi Travel Guides (Updated September 2026)

I joined as a solo traveller, and it was a small group, 4 in total. We were mostly in a van with an openable roof (we could stand comfortably through the open roof to observe and take photos). The game drive was great, we saw many famous animals, also very close. Our driver Watson was very knowledgeable, patient and easygoing. After the game drive we went to the optional elephant sanctuary, followed by a good buffet lunch, then the giraffe sanctuary, before being dropped back. The tour never felt rushed, and the atmosphere was welcoming, relaxed and fun! Thanks!

After searching for a half day safari we came across Kenya Bush expeditions and from the start they replied promptly to us, helped us arrange a trip and were more than fair with the pricing. The experience we had was amazing and definately worth the money. Our driver and guide, Ben, was highly knowledgeable, the passion for his work shown lots and he was enthusiastic which made the trip that more better. Ben ensured we got to see many of the animals and got us as close as possible to the lion, zebras, rhinos, hippos, giraffes and the other wildlife within the park. Would highly recommend this trip and this company. Competitive prices and a worthwhile experience. Great day had by us

We had a wonderful experience at Nairobi National Park, and our guide john made the trip even more enjoyable. He was very friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. He knew the best spots to see the wildlife and was always patient and helpful throughout the tour. We really appreciated his positive attitude and the way he made sure we had a great experience. Highly recommended, and we would definitely choose him again on our next visit to Nairobi!

Great tour to see the incredible orphan elephants near Nairobi. Our guide Steven Mutuku was right in time and did a wonderful job informing us all about the elephants and their unique journey. Very fun day!

A solo traveller, I was expertly guided by Reuben who helped to create a day of pure, Kenyan magic enjoying the animal centres as well as fascinating insights into Kenyan, culture, people and places. Pick ups and drop offs were efficient, and Reuben ensured that I made the most this wonderful experience and that I take some marvellous memories with me. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Tim is a great guide. He explained the history, culture and statistics of Nairobi and Kenya right at the start. He showed us a good time and took us to all the expected sites of interest. We highly recommend this tour and Tim.

Michael aka city boy tour guide is fantastic.. based out of a few hotels but we stayed at hillpark. He even arrange a city party bus to bring us home (option extra)This man is so friendly I wish he was our main guide for the whole 14 days in Africa

Tim had so much knowledge and was very personal how he taught us about Kenya and Nairobi. His grasp of our lack of any knowledge didn’t phase him at all. His explanations were spot on!

Fun bike ride through beautiful landscape with lots of zebras and other wildlife. Isaac was a really good driver and took good care of us. Javan was a wonderful guide and stopped to explain and explore some areas along the way. Highly recommended!

Stephen was an experienced and knowledgeable guide who ensured we had a great day trip during our stay in Nairobi. We booked as a couple and enjoyed a private vehicle at our own pace. The combination of the Giraffe sanctuary, Bead factory and Karen Blixen homestead with a paid buffet lunch in between was a good combination and well paced.

He was very knowledgeable about Mt. Longonot, the area, and the wildlife, and he did a great job spotting animals along the way.
