We took the tour with the panoramic bus and were not disappointed. During almost two hours we went through both modern Matera and the Sassi. Much cheaper that the tuk-tuk tours, with better views to buildings and the landscape and an excellent guide (Anita), explaining in fluent English the history of the city, drawing our attention to interesting sites and eagerly answering our questions. The 45 minutes “free time” allocated, could be pleasantly invested in the visit of a cave church. Highly recommendable

Great guided walking tour around the Sassi of Materna. Included an interesting historical overview of the town with fantastic views of each area of materna including the caves. We also visited a cave dwelling & a cave church during the tour plus plenty of time for photos as we walked around. Highly recommend.

Ima the guide is absolutely wonderful. Made sure we were all on the same page. Spoke clearly and was very descriptive of the history allowing us to invision the living back in 1950,60,70,'s etc.

We booked our transfers and whole trip through Voyage Prive who uses Nitrodi Viaggi as their local operative. They were very efficient, transfers came on time, tickets were booked, the welcome pack very comprehensive. I would definitely recommend. The Poseidon thermal park was especially good, great to relax at a day before coming home.

This excursion was called Matera: Cheese Tasting with a Cheese Maker. That title is a very brief description of the event. It is given by a beautiful, very personable husband, wife and son that have been making cheese for generations for over 55 years. The husband was very skilled, showing us how to use hot water, yeast and curd to make the different cheeses which varied by different heat of water and different timing in the processes, also salt is used in different ways for different cheeses. He even had my wife and I stand up and Kneading the Mozzarella, tying it in knots, pinching it to make shapes. We both finished the excursion after two plus hours and had eaten a lot of cheese being very satisfied. The event was a spectacular experience that I would rank second to none and highly recommend.

Giulio is a wonderful, knowledgeable, ironic, and captivating person; he captures the attention of both adults and children (if I had to go back to school, I would want a teacher like him). The tour with Giulio is an experience to be lived, absolutely recommended!

Giulio is very good, very friendly, and immerses you in the history in a simple yet detailed way. He knows how to engage everyone, both adults and children. Time flies even under the scorching heat of August. Don't make the mistake of walking around the Sassi without Giulio! Highly recommended

Absolute most incredible way to spend a day on Ischia. I couldn’t believe how quickly the day flew by. I enjoyed every moment, and in addition, the food was incredible paired with a lovely glass of white ischian wine.

Beautiful experience, thanks to this tour and to the very talented and passionate Brunella we got to know and appreciate the history of Matera. I absolutely recommend it to appreciate and understand the history of this beautiful city.
