Lexington Travel Guides (Updated September 2026)

Both guides were long time participants in the horse industry and loved what they do. They were so happy to tell us all about all the aspects of why Horse Country is so special here in the Bluegrass.

Our guide was so knowledgeable about the horses. We saw 3 of the beautiful horse farms! We thoroughly enjoyed getting to pet the horses, feed them peppermints, and learn all about the thoroughbred racing.

Jeffrey was absolutely amazing!! He was so knowledgeable and has a great sense of humor. We weren’t sure what to expect as people who haven’t been around horses, BUT it was the absolute best experience and we can't wait to bring our children. The rolling hills and beautiful properties were amazing!!

Tells the tragic story of Mary Todd Lincoln with many original furnishings and paintings. A must for the history buff. Step back in time. Realize how far we have evolved as a society.

We learned a lot about thoroughbred horses and racing. It was a beautiful time and the tour guide Hope was the best. Her knowledge and caring personality won us over immediately. Don't miss this tour.

Great experience. Mimi kept it lighthearted but informative. Making my own old-fashioned turned out great, and the bourbon and vodka were very good. A nice hour spent doing something different and fun.

Fun tour, great way to enjoy downtown with friends and learn some quirky history at the same time!

We had a great evening! The food was fantastic and the drinks were delicious! Cat told us several stories about Lexington and each of the places we visited. If you are looking for a different night out, I highly encourage you to book this tour!

Excellent experience! Relaxed atmosphere, very knowledgeable and friendly staff, and got to meet the owners and speak directly with them as well.

Loved this experience, the ambience and the collections were great taking us back in time, enjoyed hearing from the tour guide, good for pictures as well. The admission fee was nominal and we had to spend even less due to an offer and trip cash from Cool Destinations.

It was a wonderful tour - I learned a great deal about Thoroughbred Horses during my visit. Totally recommend it!

I loved it. The displays and supporting information was very well displayed. It really is a very pretty house. Parking is behind the house and we were there about an hour. The guide mentioned the Lexington Cemetery just down the street so we went. By far the prettiest cemetery I've ever been in. On to the Henry Clay Mansion tomorrow morning. At Ramseys tonight for dinner. A long established local place. Very good too. Loving Lexington!
