We had the most incredible safari experience with our guide, Jason! From the very beginning, he made us feel comfortable, safe, and completely at ease. He went above and beyond to make sure we experienced the true beauty of the bush and did everything he could to help us see as much wildlife as possible.We were fortunate to see four of the Big Five. Although we didn’t get to see the rhinos, it certainly wasn’t for lack of Jason trying — he truly did everything he could to find them for us, and we appreciated his effort so much. Thanks to Jason, we were lucky enough to see some incredible sightings, lions, leopards, cheetahs, specially a Chettah with her babies, Cape buffalos, hippopotamus, elephants, many zebras, giraffes, monkeys, snakes, warthogs, different kinds of antelope, and so much more!Jason was friendly, knowledgeable, patient, and truly passionate about what he does. He made every moment exciting and special, and we honestly wish all of our guides were like him!We enjoyed every single part of the experience and wouldn’t change a thing. We loved our safari so much and already can’t wait to come back. When we do, we would absolutely love to have Jason as our guide again. We highly recommend him — he truly made our trip an experience we will never forget!

We had a 5 day tour with Kurt Safaris. 2 top guides, Weeval and Chris. Saw all big 5 plus many many others including animals.

Great day. Good communication so we knew pick up time & exactly what we were doing throughout the day. Our guide (Selby) was excellent at spotting wildlife (he also communicated with other guides through WhatsApp & radio, who all shared sighting locations improving our chances of seeing animals). We saw the Big 5 & 4 of the Ugly 5! Breakfast was between 9am-10am, reasonably priced & was filling enough that we didn’t need lunch (which would’ve been around 12:30-1pm). We were given blankets-it was cold to begin with (5:15am!)-& water for the day.

We had this as part of a larger south Africa tour, and it was really well done. Masilo was our guide and did an excellent job finding animals for us. Obviously luck is involved but he made our odds as good as they could be. Very well run.

Our driver was Pastor and he was great!! He asked us what we wanted to see and was able to find all the animals plus more! He was informative, kind and funny!

We had 2 full days of game drives af Kruger National and it was a memorable experience. Our guide on both days was Rudolph who took extra effort to make sure we enjoyed the trip. He was knowledgeable and gave us a lot of information. We we're fortunate to see many animals including the big 5.

This was a fantastic amazing experience. I would definitely recommend doing this tour as a fun excursion around the Safari. You see all the animals in their natural. Driver was very knowledgeable and supportive throughout the journey.

We did an AM Drive with Weevil today and we enjoyed the safari from the beginning till the end! Weevil explained many things about the animals and nature and helped us spot many different animals :) we had a good time !

After a whole day of gamedrive the day before, Sammy made sure we got our big five! Among others, a rarely beautiful encounter with the leopard. Unforgettable.

We still had a morning game drive after a whole day earlier. We could just not tick off the big 5. The driver Sammy knew that we really wanted to cross the leopard off our list. The drivers were in contact with each other and suddenly we heard that there was one in the tree. Its prey, a part of an impala was also included. Luckily we were well in time. What a beautiful beast. Thanks to Sammy, we were able to cross off the 5.

Efficient and friendly booking with Kirsten. We had a wonderful experience with our guide, Weevil - he was so excited to have us a see a mix of Big 5 and the Ugly 5. He was interactive and great with our kids, highly recommend!

Weevil from Kurt Safari was an amazing ranger, knowledgeable, punctual, patient and friendly with children. He accommodated us on all our requests.

# Lions Hunt a BuffaloAt quarter past five, our guide Sammy picks us up from our hotel. He is delighted that we are all ready on time, and drives us to the park. We are among the very first vehicles to enter the park.It is cold, but Sammy has thoughtfully prepared enough blankets to keep us warm.The sky is glowing a beautiful orange, a magical sign of the sunrise to come. Almost immediately, we see a herd of wildebeest.We also spot several elephants very close to the road. These magical creatures pay absolutely no attention to us as they calmly continue eating.Of course, we also see zebras, impalas and some beautiful kingfishers.Then Sammy gets a message from one of his colleagues: somewhere in the park, lions are hunting a buffalo. He immediately drives in that direction, and by the time we arrive, there are already perhaps ten safari vehicles gathered there.We can see a buffalo standing in the distance, but the lions are nowhere to be seen. Even the guides in the other vehicles have no idea where they are.We wait. And then, suddenly, we spot a lion behind a termite mound. From where we are, it is really nothing more than a little brown spot, just barely visible through the binoculars.But as we wait, we realise that the lion is slowly stalking towards the buffalo. It takes two little steps, then lies down. Two more steps, then down again.After about 45 minutes, Sammy decides to drive around to the other side, where he expects the lion to chase the buffalo.And at exactly that moment, two buffaloes come charging past our jeep at full speed. One of them has been ripped open across its back by the second lion — a lion we hadn't even seen yet.Now both lions are in view, moving towards the buffalo standing close to our jeep. At first, the buffalo seems ready to fight back. But at the last moment, it decides to run, right past the front of our jeep.The lions stop. They are exhausted. One lies down to rest, while the other keeps watch and patrols the territory.It is unbelievable that we got to witness this. Because of the excitement and tension, we actually managed to take very few good photos or videos of the actual moment. But what an incredible experience!We see a few more lions and a huge herd of zebras before it is time to leave. We are running a little late because we have to catch our flight, so Sammy drives us back to the hotel.What an amazing experience!**Thank you, Sammy!**
