We had an absolutely fantastic day exploring the beautiful Epirus region and visiting the spectacular Zagori villages with Ioannis.The scenery was simply breathtaking, from the dramatic Vikos Gorge to the picturesque mountain landscapes and the incredible traditional stone bridges. The charm of the villages, combined with the warmth and friendliness of the local people, made the experience truly special.Our guide, Ioannis, was exceptional. He was a wealth of knowledge about the region, its history, culture and traditions, and his great sense of humour made the day even more enjoyable. He was also extremely accommodating and flexible, ensuring that we could make the most of every moment and experience the region at our own pace.Ioannis went above and beyond to make our day memorable, and his passion for Epirus really shone through. We saw some truly spectacular places and created wonderful memories that we will treasure.

We had an absolutely fabulous day on our Guided all day tour in Central Zagori villages. We learned so much, Giannis had so much information to share with us. He really was a fantastic guide and travel companion. We were blessed with dry weather as it had been very wet on previous days. The villages, bridges and gorge really came alive as Giannis explained the history, architecture and archaeology to us. Thank you so much Giannis for a tremendous day

Dimitris and Pablo were professional and did good orgies all the way. Not suitable for small kids and those who are really cold to them, but otherwise highly recommend.

I joined a canyoning trip in Zagori and it was a really amazing experience. The area is beautiful, with clear water and waterfalls, and the route was fun without being too difficult. Our guides, Angel and Kostas, were professional, patient and made sure everything was safe. They also kept a relaxed atmosphere, which made the day more enjoyable.Overall, it was a perfect mix of nature and adventure, and I would recommend it if you’re visiting the area.

What an amazing way to spend a morning getting to known a city through traditional coffee, cheese and “ bougatsa” shops topped off by a cooking demonstration for a traditional cheese pie and then - lunch! Highly recommend this easily paced tour led by the passionate and knowledgeable owner Georgos - a young owner operated operation who deserves full praise for his entrepreneurship! MUST DO IOANINNA.

This was the best day and best tour! We loved learning all about the area and seeing all the sights. Our guide really went the extra mile and took photos of us and made the day very special! We loved it! Highly recommend

just now New We feel so fortunate to have spent an incredible day together with our host George in beautiful Ioannina. George was beyond amazing and set up the most wonderful guided food tour of the city. His deep passion and knowledge for his home town was so insightful and his personal and unique selections for authentic/ local eateries with the most delicious cuisine were divine. We especially loved our cheese tasting at Eleftheria and our spinach pie demonstration and traditional lunch at Paris Resturant -Arte Povera . In addition George selected our guide for our hikes in Zagoria which were beyond breathtaking . We were so impressed with George’s attention to detail and his love for his work that we recommend him in the highest regard and would love to work with him again! Anyone coming to ioannina MUST spend a day with George to truly capture the most of the city and have an authentic, fun, perfect day!!! You will be sad to say goodbye to Ioannina and George!!!

Fantastic day out, our captain was so friendly and had great suggestions of places to go. The boat was really comfortable. Being early season, finding beaches that we could have to ourselves was possible and there were some great beaches and bay’s slightly off the beaten track that Nikos recommended. I booked from the UK, Athanasios was extremely helpful and I really appreciated the text the day before our trip to confirm where to meet, they were also flexible on the collection point. Highly recommended.

One of the best hikes we have ever done - roughly 15 km across three microclimates and through some of the most breathtaking views and vistas. Alexis, our highly knowledgeable and passionate guide was a veritable fountain of knowledge and insights. We hiked in December, and although it was cold, it was manageable. The planning was excellent - Alexis picked us up from our hotel in Ioannina, and we drove to the start of the trail - which was a combination of walking downward, several hundred metres to the bottom of the gorge and walking along the river until we eventually made our way out. Alpinezone is an excellent tour operator with many years of experience and the attention to detail was excellent. Alexis is a specialist mountain guide with 40 years of experience and over the 6.5 hour trek we covered topics such as geography and geology, history, theology and philosophy. He is also a former primary school teacher and retains his fascination for awe and curiosity, which is so refreshing. Fun fact - we spoke about the 4th Indian infantry division (Red Eagles) who served honorably in Greece immediately after the World War II.

Wha a beautiful place. Moderate to difficult hike but so worth it. Very few people on the trail so you get to be one with nature.

Epirus is the most fantastic province of Greece! Everything is. Sea, harbors, the most picturesque beaches, but also wild mountain streams, waterfalls and mountainsides full of orchids. In a word: do!!!

My wife and I signed up for a three-days hiking tour in the Zagori area with Epirus Traveller. In our two weeks in Greece, this was one of the top highlights!Ioannis was a fantastic organizer. He is very responsive and the whole planning process via email was very smooth. He also took the initiative to ask for a video call with us to finalize the plan before we went to Greece. He took note that we were not in the best physical condition due to earlier injuries and adapted the itinerary to be something more manageable for us.Hence we did three day-hikes based out of Ioannina, going to Vradeto steps, Beloi Viewpoint, Vikos Gorge, and also a circuit with beautiful stone bridges and villages around the gorge.Our guide Kostas was another amazing person. He was always punctual and reliable, taking good care of us during the hikes. He was also very open to share his experiences with us and we learnt the most during our holiday about Greek language, culture, and lifestyle from him! Thanks a lot for the friendship and company!As for the scenery, phew, what can we say. Very very impressive! We were also very lucky to have beautiful weather all three days.If have a few more days to spare in Greece, and if you are looking for something other than the usual tourist tours in and around Athens, definitely come here and do a tour in Epirus! This place also offers more challenging outdoor adventures such as rafting, canyoning, etc. Worth a try too but definitely do the hikes first!

Amazing topography but also excellent service by tour guide, who had so much knowledge to share. He took amazing photos and videos which we can share with family. He planned trip so well so it could be tailored to our needs.
