Our host was absolutely wonderful! From the service to the wines a great experience! Very attentive host along with our wine flight he brought out a small charcuterie tray that paired perfectly with our wine flight which were very generous pours. We need to visit again.

If you’re even remotely interested in cocktails, the Mad Scientist Mixology Class is an experience you shouldn’t miss.What I loved most was how hands-on and interactive the class was. They provide recipe reference cards if you want guidance, but they also encourage you to experiment, get creative, and build cocktails your own way in their “lab.” It felt less like a class and more like being a bartender for the day.The selection of ingredients was incredible—from an extensive range of spirits, liqueurs, and mixers to an impressive collection of dehydrated fruits, herbs, and spices. Learning how to use these ingredients to infuse flavor into cocktails was fascinating, and the smoking techniques they demonstrated added another level of creativity to the experience.A special shoutout to Jen, who was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the entire session fun and approachable, whether you were a beginner or an experienced cocktail enthusiast.Another thing I really appreciated is that they offer both cocktail and mocktail options, making the experience enjoyable for everyone. They also host private events and team-building sessions at office locations (where permitted), which would make for such a fun and unique work event.I can’t wait to do this again. Whether you’re planning a date night, a get-together with friends, or a team outing, this is an experience I’d wholeheartedly recommend.

My husband and I booked the cooking class with our son and his girlfriend. We all had a great time and had fun cooking a healthy meal.

Chef Washington was so welcoming and did a great job walking us through the meal. We got insight into how enjoyable cooking can be. He made good conversation.

Silvara rises to the top of the winery scene with its stunning tasting room and grounds, warm and attentive service, and award-winning wines. I’m a frequent visitor and make a point to return every time I’m in Leavenworth. From whites to rosé to reds and sparkling wines, you’re bound to love their amazing selection.

We had a fantastic time learning about the ingredients and combinations, alcoholic and non-alcoholic, that result into myriad of flavors, both complex and clean. It was great getting to create cloudy smoky beverages with a blowtorch, creating theatrical cocktails, and learning the nuances of bitters, of freeze-dried v roasted non-perishable ingredients.We also had a lot of fun watching the theatrical components of the Greenfire space, which is a bit like a cirque performance. Last but not least, it is always great fun to become another character, mad scientists all in craft cocktail making.

Get ready for a fantastic adventure in new flavors and surprising combinations. Jen is a superior host and lets you explore all the crazy combos you can think of. I am a novice cocktail maker and had success. My husband is a true aficionado and discovered new things! So good for all experience levels.

This sushi cooking class incorporated a full range of delights: spring rolls, noodles and vegetable mix, sushi wraps and matcha drink. The class takes place in a private home; the chef is energetic and personable. The hands-on learning gave each participant (three teenagers and two grandparents) an interactive experience. Each of us delighted in the tastes of our own interests without the chef being overbearing on how we were cooking. This provided some individuality to the class. One participant was a vegan and the chef made special accommodations for her. The best learning our family had was to not be timid about trying different foods and to openly explore cooking styles.

From the moment I stepped into the space at Melrose Market and headed upstairs, I was immediately immersed in the experience. You’re greeted, handed a lab coat, and invited to choose your own scientist name, which sets the tone right away. I went with Dr. Love (because Love is my middle name , and from there, it was pure fun.This isn’t just a tasting it’s a hands-on, science-based mixology experience. You get to experiment with fresh ingredients, explore flavor combinations, and create cocktails and mocktails that are both intentional and delicious. It truly feels like stepping into a playful lab where creativity and curiosity lead the way.I loved the variety of ingredients, the choices, and the freedom to create. You’re not just drinking you’re learning, experimenting, and having fun. I went alone and had an amazing time, but this would be perfect for friends, groups, or a special outing.Highly recommend if you’re looking for something interactive, joyful, and different. I can’t wait to do it again .

Decided to try a new wine tasting experience while in Seattle. This place was wonderful. The service was great. The variety of ones to try was new and exciting.

What a wonderful experience! Brittney and her husband welcomed us into their home for a spectacular 3+hour experience like none other. We got to know each other while we participated in preparing an impressive meal … and we got culinary tips along the way. Brittney’s culinary skills are amazing! Our menu: Sockeye Salmon with Walnut Basil Pesto, Spinach Goat Cheese Salad with Lemon Vinaigrette, Za’atar Roasted Carrots and Chocolate Tahini Truffles with Pomegranate Molasses served with Willamette Valley Vineyards Pinot Gris from Oregon. The tastes in all were amazing!!! Put an in-home dinner with a chef from The Traveling Spoon on your “what-to-do-when-traveling” list. That’s what we did in Seattle… and will do so for future trips elsewhere. That’s because Brittney said the company has participating chefs in cities around the world! Thank you Brittney for welcoming us into your home for an experience we loved!!!
