What a great night with Doru & Cornelia , the food was fantastic, the red wine flowed and many stories were told. Our guide Alex picked us up & brought us back to our hotel, an experience to remember do yourself a favour & put it on your list of things to do in Bucharest.

An amazing immersive experience! The food was absolutely amazing!!! We had some of the local fare in previous days as part of our trip at restaurants and hotels, but nothing compared to the amazing flavors of this home cook meal - off the charts!!! The guests Cornelia and Doru were friendly, loving people that shared their home and culture with us! Will never forget! The highlight of our trip!

This tour was the highlight of our weekend in Bucharest! Andrei led us on a well-thought-out route that blended history and food perfectly, taking us through key landmarks while introducing us to best foods to try. The tour was also very visual, with maps and historical images that really brought the past to life adding context and imagination.Andrei’s knowledge of Bucharest was outstanding—he explained everything in excellent English, answered all of our questions with ease, and had a great sense of humor, making the experience both engaging and entertaining. He had a real talent for connecting historical events to modern-day Romania, giving us a deeper understanding of the city and its culture, as well as give context to the political protests happening around the city.Don’t eat breakfast before you go because you’ll be taken to the very best food spots, none of which we had found by ourselves while exploring or thought to try. Every stop was well-chosen, and we left feeling completely satisfied, both in terms of food and knowledge! There was also some great alleys we would not have walked down by ourselves, yet found them to be full of stories we are so glad not to have missed.Beyond the tour itself, Andrei gave us a long list of recommendations for the rest of our stay, from restaurants, cafés and bars in the city. His tips helped us make the most of our time in Bucharest.I don’t write reviews often, so hopefully if you’re reading this it gives you the confidence to book a morning with Andrei.

Indeed a special place, about an hour from Bucharest we discovered a quiet place with an impressive history. We are talking about a boyar manor that is about 100 years old that has been transformed into a gorgeous restaurant. The sommelier told us a lot about how wine is produced at casa Timiș wine cellar. I liked it very much and I would like to come back.

I booked a table for 3 people friday 26 September. The staff was very very friendly when I arrived and was seated. The wine menu has a very good selection of local and european wines. The owner knows a lot about wine and made sure that we had a good evening. Good choise to come her. We will come back next time.

We had a warm welcome from Gabriel and Dario. The tasting was fun and informative yet relaxed, we never felt rushed. I would definitely recommend doing the palinca tasting for those looking for an authentic and unique experience in Bucharest.

Leisurely day with some fantastic wine tasting at Budereasca wine vineyard. Couple of quaint museums too. Driver Gabriel 'El Gabitan' helpful and keen to share his knowledge. Recommended.

Don’t hesitate to book Abel’s wine bar - the staff are the nicest people to book with - from email reservation right through to serving us on the day they made me feel a friend in their own home. The drinks on offer were fantastic and it’s great to try something new.
