Riding Icelandic ponies was a dream come true! The staff were very friendly, gave clear instructions for what to do and made all of us comfortable. The horses were so sweet and easy to ride! We even got to experience the Icelandic horse's tölt riding and that was so fun! It was cold and windy on the beach so my coat and waterproof fleece-lined pants were necessary and I stayed warm.

Thorsmork is a wonderful place, and our guide Carlos was fantastic! He was interesting and fun, took us on great hikes (pretty easy ones) to beautiful places, while being very helpful and careful to make the hikes safe and doable. He shared his views on Iceland and told us about himself, making the drives fun.

Magical from start to finish!
I couldn't have asked for a better experience hiking the Laugavegur Trail with Gunnar Hall leading our pack. Gunni the Guide led with humor, safety, and superior knowledge. We were laughing the whole way through! Gunnar had clear expertise in the terrain and so much great knowledge on Iceland, the trial and history that he shared throughout. It was a truly magical experience that I would recommend to anyone!

Unique experience in a spectacular setting. I am so glad we went on this trip. The vehicle and driver took us to places we could not otherwise reach. Driver provided a lot of information about this location and others in Iceland. Perfect thing to do! Entire staff was helpful. The vehicles were in excellent shape. The office/departure lounge was comfortable and welcoming.

The pickup was a little messy as one of the drivers was slightly late. Our tour guide explained a lot of the landscape we drove through and also explained that the cave we were going to was pretty small. Still gave us all the time we wanted. Overall, worth the money to have the experience!

Our tour guide was the best! I couldn’t remember his name but originally from Czech. He gave historical info about glaciers and Katla Ice Cave. He also gave specific northern asked. Would recommend this tour to anyone wanting to see inside an ice cave.

We did this tour on our second day in Iceland, and even after driving the entire Ring Road and exploring the Snæfellsnes Peninsula, with countless amazing adventures and absolutely gorgeous sights along the way, the Katla Ice Cave tour remained the highlight of our entire trip! Beda was a phenomenal guide! I have some balance issues, and he was incredibly patient and helpful, even helping me get my microspikes on and making sure I felt comfortable along the way. We booked the first tour of the day, and I’m SO glad we did. There were only six of us total, including Beda, which made the experience feel much more personal. On our way back down the trail, we passed later groups that were considerably larger, so I definitely recommend booking that first morning tour if you can. The scenery and the ice cave itself were absolutely incredible, but having such a great guide made the experience even better. After everything we saw and did during our Iceland road trip, the fact that this was still our favorite experience says a lot! If you’re planning to visit Katla Ice Cave, I wouldn’t do it with anyone other than Troll Expeditions. Absolutely unforgettable!

Fantastic experience! Very valuable for the price. Our tour guide, Daniel, was great. He was very knowledgeable, entertaining, and attentive to safety. Some things to note. The tour has recently been extended to 4 hours, which has been caused due to a recent hiking path change. Although Arctic Adventures advertised it as easy, I would consider the hike to be moderate to challenging. For reference, I am a fit 25 yo male. Be prepared to either bring above-the-ankle hiking boots or rent theirs for a small fee. Pack a backpack with water, snacks, and additional layers, if necessary. Overall, I would highly recommend!
