Top Vik Horseback Riding

Riding Icelandic ponies was a dream come true! The staff were very friendly, gave clear instructions for what to do and made all of us comfortable. The horses were so sweet and easy to ride! We even got to experience the Icelandic horse's tölt riding and that was so fun! It was cold and windy on the beach so my coat and waterproof fleece-lined pants were necessary and I stayed warm.

This was a highlight of our trip and even though I have had limited exposure to horses and I’m in my late 50’s I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and felt that the instructions and guides were amazing

My son and I loved this outing. Beautiful setting on the beach, helpful guides, iconic horses, and fun (optional!) chance to trot at the end.

Wonderful experience. The staff was friendly and professional. I was solo and felt very comfortable! The horses are wonderful and riding out to the black sand shore was a true time to treasure!

What an incredible horse riding opportunity. The guides were well informed, helpful and knowledgeable. They picked horses to fit your skill level. Guided us and made sure we were comfortable doing the Viking tolt…Iceland trot. Beautiful scenery and lots of Iceland lore. One of the best horse riding experiences I’ve had. Would absolutely recommend!

We had an amazing experience here. My dad was nervous to ride, but the staff was very patient and helpful. Also their cat is adorable. I highly recommend!!

Very enjoyable time, had not been on a horse for many years. It took 10-15 mins to get settled on the horse but the guides were great. Really great experience.

It was one of my first times ever riding a horse and I was a bit nervous. The staff were amazing and made me feel so safe. They told everyone to only do what they felt comfortable with and put no pressure on anyone to try the tolt. (Although everyone chose to try it and I highly recommend!)

went with my brother while we were doing a camping trip around the golden circle, tour was a little short but very nice and staff were friendly and helpful, the beach and doing the trot after were very enjoyable, good times if you’re looking for something that doesn’t take too much time out of your day!

We had the best time on this tour! The staff was very knowledgeable, experienced, and made it easy to feel comfortable. We all had basic riding experience (some more than others) and never felt uncomfortable. The horses are so sweet! Beautiful views along the black sand beach, wish we could have "tolted" a little more. Overall, great experience and would go again!

I had a wonderful time on this ride. It is very chill - out and back along the beach, with a stop for photos (which is a great souvenir). I got to ride Thor, who was lovely, and this was my first time experiencing the tolt gait, which was very unique! If you’re a beginner and only want to walk, there is an option for that too. My guide was lovely, we had a great chat about life (didn’t catch her name unfortunately), and the horses all appeared very well cared for. I do wish there was a longer/more advanced option offered as I would have opted for that, but the black beach scenery on horseback was great even for the short ride.
