Great two day practical navigation course, our course leaders, Paul on day one and Stephen on day two were friendly and very knowledgeable, making it easy to ask questions. Well balanced between theory and practice of the skill, left feeling ready to plan and get out navigating my own routes. Definitely recommend and will return when ready for the next level of training.

I have just attended the Silver Navigation course with Pure Outdoors. It was a very good two days with lots of skills learnt. Emma and Ollie our two instructors were very good and ensured that we got out on too the moors and put the theory into practice over the two days. I would thoroughly recommend the course and Pure Outdoor.

This was a great way to see Sheffield. We were only here for one day, so this was great. Took us 3 hours and a little over 7 miles. Somethings could be changed but overall great. We did stop at a few pubs on the way. It doesn't start and end at the same place. We were about 10-15 walk from our hotel. Beautiful city I highly recommend

David was a great guide. Willing to cater to our interests. Got an excellent feel of Sheffield with our walk through the city.

Walking with your local guid, David was fantastic. Along with history and other topics, I also learned about current issues and amusing local anecdotes. I felt like more than a tourist taking in the city's surface.

What a great experience. We were a bit nervous, not ever having done any navigation before. Gavin was a brilliant teacher. He created a great atmosphere and just made the experience so enjoyable. Thoroughly recommend.

Excellent 2 Day Navigation Course (NNAS) Bronze with Pure Outdoor..Having not really touched a compass for nearly 40yrs and since retiring doing a lot more walking was time to update the navigation skills. Great tuition from instructor Rick for the two days at exactly the right level and making it a enjoyable weekend with classroom input going over maps/Kit etc and walking right on the doorstep to put into practice.. Great facilities at the Adventure Hub with free tea and coffee and great communication pre and post course with plenty of parking.. Would definitely recommend Pure Outdoor and instructor Rick if your considering this course or other course/activities offered…I will be looking at the next level silver…..

This is a really good way to find some hidden gems while getting a mental and physical workout. We did this adventure in a group of five. The clues and messages were delivered promptly and worked really well. Even those of us reasonably familiar with some areas of Sheffield found new nooks and crannies to explore. There are breaks built into the challenge (which you can take or skip over according to your preference) and useful links to interesting features and artists in case you don't have time to fully explore them during the game. Top tip - make sure your phone is fully charged and/or bring a charger with you. You"ll probably want to take lots of photos as you go round. A piece of paper and a pen might be useful too! We all enjoyed the game and are looking forward to the next one.

This was great fun, we started a little later than expected so it was dark by the time that we had finished but it took us all around sheffield and we really took in the sites and buildings by doing this experience.My partner and I both agree that this is a fantastic way to get to know a city and what it has to offer.

The clues are sufficiently challenging to entertain most ages (from about 10 I would say), the directions within clues were a tad vague a couple of times (although that could of been us being stupid!) and the distance walked, just under 7 miles, is certainly enough! A very enjoyable way of seeing the city and excellent functionality within the game.

i recently did the NNAS bronze course, thoroughly enjoyed the two days and rick is an excellent instructor and i will be looking to book the NNAS silver course in the near future.i highly reccomend anyone who wants to learn to use a map/compass, the skills will come in handy for my future hikes.

Rick was supportive, clear and ensured that we all understood the skills we were being taught as well as having time to practice them. Rick was disability aware, and extremely supportive to our group member who had no hearing and relied on lip reading. A brilliant course in a beautiful area. I feel confident that I can use the skills in the future.
