Other than the heat of the day - the tour was Great! Self paced, easy to follow and very interesting. Some of the compartments were "a little close" regarding the ventilation, but not intolerable - there's not much you can do with a ship of that size and age. Don't let it put you off - the experience will enlighten you as to the conditions the sailors and marines lived through during WWII.

What a great museum with so many beautiful robes and costumes. Learned a lot about the origins of Mardi Gras. I didn’t know Mobile was where Mardi Gras began. The museum has audio recording you can listen to on your phone as you walk from exhibit to exhibit. They are all numbered, although not sequential and a bit confusing but manageable. We didn’t listen to them all but mostly the ones about the costumes. Don’t worry if you don’t have a phone, it is the same information as the information posted at each exhibit.

Learned alot about where Mardi Gras started in Mobile. Museum is bursting with colorful “trains” and stories of this cultural season.

The Living History event was awesome! It was very enjoyable watching the simulated air defensive capabilities of the ship. The museum and everything else around the park was phenomenal. I would certainly revisit this place to learn even more!

Everything well indicated. However, parking entrance is $5 extra and we were not warned beforehand.

Learned a lot about Mobile’s history and where Mardi Gras actually started. We especially enjoyed seeing the “trains” and grandeur of the Mardi Gras tradition in Mobile.

So much good information and beautiful displays!! Our docent, Terry Ankerston, had all the facts and figures and inside info you could ask for!! The rooms of the “home” each display different aspects of Carnival and the societies. A great stop!

Had a great time. Learned a lot. Everyone enjoyed it. Good for kids and adults.

History was very interesting, glad we found it.

If you appreciate history this is amazing. You get so much access inside a submarine and a battleship!

It was an awesome place to go. We spent several hours there. It’s so much history. Our tickets were $18 each, but if you get them at the location, then there is a AAA discount and a military discount and a senior discount so please be aware of this. I would definitely recommend this sight.

Fantastic experience. Ensure to allow enough time to see everything - there is so much more to see than just the battleship!There are a number of planes / tanks etc in the outer grounds which I worth walking around.The Battleship is fab - they were doing some painting when we visited so there were some parts we could not visit but we saw nearly all areas of the ship. There are written routes which really helps to ensure you don’t miss anything. The way they’ve laid the ship out really gives you a sense of life on the ship. There are some very good tributes / memorials to those who have lost their lives.We also visited the submarine - a lot shorter tour but still really interesting & well laid out to understand life on a sub.Cafe was really good - it’s expensive as with any on site food offering.

Our family had a great time visiting the USS Alabama and going through the USS Drum.

Great visit, especially if you like history, you get a battleship, summary, and dozens of aircraft, all in one visit. Very affordable as well. Thanks!
