Kish and Rich are super professional and knowledgeable, they took care of everything and making our canyoning experience safe and enjoyable.We were unsure and nervous about getting into icy water at first but the wetsuit kept us warm the whole time. We had prior canyoning experience but those were mostly cliff jumping and sliding, little did we do rappelling before this tour. This was the first time we try rappelling so extensively. We were a bit scared at first but Kish & Rich were very patient and explained the techniques and safety precautions in great details, we were so proud of ourselves for having descended down the tall cliffs!It was so fun and was such a unique experience to immerse yourself in the spectacular Iceland scenery! 4 hours flew by quickly without us even realizing! The group size is small so you are being taken good care of (we were lucky enough to be the only group of the session and got a private tour!). Be sure to book in advance!

Worth it! Guides are super efficient, very knowledgeable. The place is amazing, definitely off the beaten track and I know what I say since I’m guiding in Iceland too. It isn’t cold as we got thick neoprene. Their gear is in good shape. Plus, it is a small company definitely better idea to go with them to the glacier for example than with huge operators.

So professional! I wish we’d booked more adventures with Ice Guardians. From start to finish Rich & Kish helped us ‘learn the ropes’ of canyoning; rappelling down rocky ravines, wading through rolling streams, sliding through nature water slides, and jumping into crystal clear pools below. Unlike other adventures we took, we truly felt we had the mountain to ourselves and the full attention of our guides. Rich & Kish bring decades of experience and made us feel safe and confident with the rappelling, something none of us had done before. With Icelands limitless beauty, this adventure is the first highlight we share with our family and friends.

Amazing experience with fun and knowledgeable guides! The tour did a great job at balancing challenge with exploration while the guides took care of all safety aspects without you even noticing! Definitely worth it and created memories not soon forgotten!

We had an incredibly fun day canyoning with Rich and Kish! It was the perfect mix of adventure and stunning scenery. The hike alone was beautiful, and throughout the entire experience we felt warm, safe, and comfortable.Both guides were friendly, professional, and accommodating. I was honestly very anxious before the trip, convinced we would be freezing the whole time, but the gear and guidance kept us comfortable from start to finish.The rappels were exciting, and the zip line was a highlight. My kids especially loved the natural slide and the opportunity to jump from two different heights into the glacier water pool. Despite my nerves going in, the day exceeded all expectations and turned into one of the highlights of our trip. Highly recommend!

My husband and I did a full day glacier hike/ice climb followed by a half day canyon the next day. Both tours were absolutely incredible! We were able to provide input with our routes and how our tours progressed. We felt perfectly safe, yet wonderfully challenged each day. We learned so much while having an absolute blast! I couldn’t recommend Ice Guardians enough and would happily use their services again in a heartbeat!

This was Type 1 fun from start to finish! It was a really unique way to see the area around Vatnajokull and everyone (2 parents and 3 teen/young adult kids) thoroughly enjoyed it. Kish and Rich were fantastic guides, clearly very experienced and delivered just the right balance of safety and fun! A highlight of our trip so far - highly recommend.

One of the absolute highlights of our Iceland adventure was our private canyoning tour with Ice Guardians!The views were unbelievable, the adventure was so much fun, and our guides, Kish and Richard, were amazing. This was one of our favorite experiences of the entire trip, and it’s a memory we’ll always cherish.

This was, without question, the highlight of our entire Iceland vacation!The directions to the meeting location were clear and easy to follow. Parking was simple, and there were bathrooms available on site, which made the morning stress free from the start.Our guides arrived with absolutely everything we needed. The wetsuits and gear were high quality, fit perfectly, and kept us surprisingly warm throughout the entire adventure. I honestly expected to be freezing, but at no point was I uncomfortably cold.From the moment we arrived, both guides greeted our family with warm smiles and immediately made us feel welcome and comfortable. Our group was small, just our family, two other guests, and two guides, which made the experience feel very personal. They shared interesting history about the area, patiently taught everyone how to rappel, and made sure we felt safe and confident before every activity.The adventure itself was incredible! We rappelled down waterfalls, jumped into crystal clear streams, slid down natural rock slides, climbed through the canyon, and even finished with a zip line. The photos on their website simply do not do this experience justice. It is far more exciting, adventurous, and beautiful than it appears online.At the end, they offered food for purchase along with complimentary hot coffee and hot chocolate, which was the perfect way to warm up and finish the morning.Everything was organized, professional, and ran flawlessly from beginning to end. We would recommend this experience to anyone visiting Iceland. It exceeded every expectation we had!

The canyoning trip with Ice Guardians was amazing! We were a little worried about being too cold, but were pleasantly surprised with how warm we were with the 6mm tight fitting wetsuits with enclosed socks, neoprene boots & gloves and waterproof jackets. They have the right gear for the job. Safety is also a top priority for Kish & Rich, the company owners and guides for our trip. They worked as a team to safely guide the expedition. As geologists they also shared expert knowledge of the area. Highly recommend this trip for adventurous types of all ages who are looking for a hiking/canyoning experience in Iceland (the only tour of this type anywhere on the island)!

We had the best time with Rich and Kish on our canyoning tour! They first taught us how to safely rappel and use our gear before heading out to the beautiful, hidden canyon to splash around and have fun for the day. Everything was thought through to the last detail and we felt safe but adventurous on the tour, thanks to the professionalism of our guides. Even at the end of the season, we did not get too cold thanks to the gear that we were provided! 11/10, I would recommend Ice Guardians for all adventurous spirits who want a small-group adventure with the most knowleadgable guides in the country!

Kish and Rich exceeded our expectations for canyoning! We had the best time…rapelling into canyons, jumping off cliffs, sliding down waterfalls and zip lining! We really appreciated them sharing their knowledge of the geology and flora in the region. We truly had the time of our lives! Great guys, a lot of fun, very professional! Epic canyoning adventure with Ice Guardians and one of the top 3 highlights of our Iceland trip.Rich helped us book the experience weeks in advance and made sure it fit our tight schedule. On the day of, Rich and Kish were incredible guides, professional, funny, and supportive.We met at Haukafell Campground, suited up, and hiked in along a sheep trail with wild berries and arctic thyme. Most of us had no rappelling experience, but the practice session made us all feel comfortable.The canyon descent was unforgettable with rappels, slides, cliff jumps, and the “washing machine” finale down a roaring waterfall.
