She knows SO much about the island, but she shares it in a way that feels like a great conversation, not a lecture. She welcomed every question we had (and we had plenty!), and she made it feel like she was genuinely excited to share more whenever we asked.She took us everywhere: an erupting volcano (yes, erupting!), local shops, a beautiful beach, waterfalls, gardens, and those massive banyan trees that make you feel tiny in the best way. Early on, she noticed how interested we were in the plants around us, so she started pointing out names, stories, and uses — and we even ended up tasting wild ginger on the side of the road. It was such a fun, unexpected moment that made the day feel even more personal.And when someone mentioned macadamia nuts, she didn’t hesitate — she made it happen. Agnes is flexible, thoughtful, and clearly loves what she does. Her car was stocked with water, snacks, and umbrellas, which tells you everything about how prepared and caring she is.This tour was one of our favorite experiences in Hawaii, and Agnes made it unforgettable. Our tour guide Agnes went above and beyond our expectations with her knowledge of the area and the sites we visited. We saw so much but never felt rushed or hurried. Trust me you won’t be disappointed if you book this tour especially if you have Agnes as your guide!

Fabulous experience for my family. Super easy pick up from the Pride of America and off we went to the volcano national park. Our guide Jodi was amazing. We had so much fun at the park exploring the different areas. Everything about this adventure was fantastic for my family and I highly recommend!

This was an amazing tour. We thoroughly enjoyed everything, Jodi is so engaging and knowledgeable. We had adults and teenagers and everyone enjoyed our tour. She customized to what we did and didn't want to do, timed it so we beat the crowds and buses. Highly recommend

Agi was amazing! She was knowledgeable, extremely friendly and flexible with time. We really enjoyed Akaka and Rainbow falls. Admired the natural foliage of Hawaii and even saw turtles! Truly a wonderful experience! Thanks, Agi!

The tour takes you to all of the best spots in VNP. Rob showed us the sites, managed time perfectly, and educated us during the adventure. He knows so much about it that it truly enriched the experience. The vehicle is modern, comfortable, and easy to see out of. We had an excellent lunch at the lodge before returning to the pier. Lots if photos too, which I haven’t yet been able to see. But, I’m confident there are many keepers. This is a top notch experience when in Hilo.

My family of 9 was traveling together (age 2 - age 91) to Hilo for a day stop. Rob, our Big Island VIP guide, picked us up at the port and we got an early start to the day. We missed seeing the lava flow by about 9 hours, but still had a full day of touring around Volcanoes National Park. It is a very large park and one could probably spend several days touring, but Rob condensed the must see sights for us. He is an encyclopedia of knowledge about the park and took lots of photos for us so all 9 of us would be in them. We had good weather that day, but Rob was prepared with umbrellas and lots of snacks. We stopped for lunch in the park and were returned back to the ship on time.

My husband and I really enjoyed our tour. Agnes, our guide, is very knowledgeable and took us to some great spots with amazing scenery. It rained most of the day, which couldn't be helped, but she made the best of it and we didn't feel rushed our like we missed out on anything. I highly recommend this tour and Agnes. We will bring our children and grandchildren next time we come. 10 out of 10!

Wow!!! Exceptional tour of Volcano National Park. Jodi was very knowledgeable about all aspects of the park, volcanos, lava, vegetation…. Just about any topic. She took photos for us along the way which made it easier for us to just focus on what we were seeing. They were provided to us at the end via email.

The best trip ever. Rob was great , very knowledgeable . Supplied snacks , water, rain jackets etc. thank you to his wife for letting us know the volcano is erupting and he turned around.

We visited Volcanoes National Park on a cruise port call. The four of us rode in a clean comfortable Mercedes Van. Our guide, Skylar, was well spoken and very knowledable about the local geology, flora and fauna . He was very flexible in our itinerary. The van played an interesting movie about the eruption history of the area and pleasantly filled the ride. We were very spacious with 4 and I’d say 8 would be fine. The lunch at the lodge overlooking a crater was great. The local fish and chips was very tasty and service quick. Overall, a fantastic tour with a fantastic guide.
