We learned so much about the history of the farm and about cocoa farming itself. The staff was friendly, patient and welcomed questions. We loved the farm tour and the delicious and educational chocolate tasting! We were there over 4 hours but the time flew by! Would def recommend!

This remains one of the best tours we’ve taken. The tasting is the point: sugarloaf pineapple, raw pepper, and the other local fruit they pass around were all excellent.The chocolate itself is some of the best artisan chocolate we’ve had. Their macadamia nuts with toffee beat what we’ve tried from other Hawaii chocolatiers.We’ve done the tour two or three times. It is still our chocolate and honey stop across the islands—Oahu, Maui, the Big Island, and Kauai. We’ve been to Switzerland. This is better. In fact my Wife and I continue to order chocolate from Lydagate. Highly recommend.

My husband and I did this tour the day we were leaving the island and it did not disappoint. We had no idea what went into making chocolate. And I found out that I DO like dark chocolate 😊

Quiet, small, unassuming wine tasting location in a small industrial park. Really nice employees, wonderful wines. Our server gave us some wonderful ideas for activities on the island. We had a great time. Bottles are priced fairly. They cork and seal any bottles that you buy on the spot. Highly recommended!

Spending 45 minutes in meditation and complete silence, surrounded by nature and the ritual of tea, allowed me to slow down, be present, and simply enjoy the moment.The entire ceremony felt intentional, calming, and meaningful. We had the most amazing time at our cooking class! It was my 13 year old son’s first time taking a cooking class. He absolutely loved it.Aletha is a warm, patient, and kind chef and welcoming hostess. The food was delicious. Recipes easy to follow, most importantly, stories and customs that accompany them. My favorite part of traveling is immersing myself in local customs and trying to learn about communities, whether it be through cooking, local dances, calligraphy, pottery, etc. Sign up for this, you won’t regret it!

Fantastic experience! I went with my grandson for his first excursion of third grade. He’s home schooled, and we are locals. So we are fussy about tour experiences. This was a very welcoming atmosphere. Our hosts were friendly and knowledgeable. The tastings were very flavorful. Our group had several families with a variety of ages, and everyone was accommodated for levels of curiosity.

​This is hands down our absolute favorite coffee farm on the Big Island! What makes this place so special is the atmosphere and the incredible team - the staff were amazingly friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. ​During our visit we enjoyed a fantastic walkthrough of the property where we learned all about the local plants and the step-by-step process of how their coffee is made. The tasting experience is wonderful featuring delicious coffee samples, chocolate-covered coffee beans and unique local Hawaiian honey. If you want more than a sample you can also order handcrafted coffee and tea drinks. As very selective coffee drinkers we can confidently say the coffee is outstanding - they even sell rare Geisha coffee! ​A special shout-out to the adorable resident cat who wanders around the farm. It is so heartwarming to see how lovingly the staff care for him despite his eye issues from local fire ants.​Pro tip: When you’re inside don’t miss the map on the wall! Scan the QR code to access a numbered guide so you don't miss any fun spots around the island. Be sure to pin where you’re visiting from on their world map and leave a note in the guestbook before you go. We loved everything about our visit and will definitely be back!

Sergey was awesome!!! He knows his history of the island and gave us a wonderful tour. We learned so much from him. The dole plantation is beautiful and the dole whip delicious!!! The Rum tasting was fun too! Bought some to go of course! We even got to see a full rainbow on the way back to the hotel!!!
