The sunset tour of the Ria Formosa in Faro was a quick experience that showed the different aspects of the area. We were picked up in a boat at the end of the Marina and were taken out on time. Luckily, it was just 4 of us as usually there are more people.Our tour guide was fantastic as he had the right mixture of talking about the various sites within the Ria Formosa, plus allowing silence as we watched the water and land before stopping in an area to watch the sunset. The sunset was spectacular, and there was only one other boat in the area where we were.Our tour was from 7pm-8pm in September. It was nice weather, and we were in shorts and tshirts. Definitely recommend.

I had booked a private tour for a marriage proposal – and it was simply magical. Right from the start, communication with Sandra before and during the planning was perfect – always friendly, reliable, and attentive to every detail. The tour was officially disguised as a private boat trip for 4–6 people so that my partner wouldn’t suspect anything – and thanks to Ricardo, our captain, it worked out wonderfully. Ricardo was extremely professional, charming, and considerate. With his impressive acting skills, he made the “cancellation” of the two supposed extra guests so believable that my partner had absolutely no idea what was about to happen. During the trip, he shared lots of fascinating and lovingly explained facts about the region, which made the atmosphere even more special. The idea with the rose petals on the beach wasn’t possible due to the nature reserve regulations – which was completely understandable. The only important thing is to discuss every detail in advance to make sure everything goes perfectly. After the proposal, Ricardo welcomed us back with romantic classic music, opened the champagne, and took us on a breathtaking sunset cruise. The boat was very well-maintained, with comfortable lounge-style seating – just perfect for relaxing and taking it all in. We are a lesbian couple, and the whole experience was warm, respectful, and full of kindness. Ricardo even shared a bit about his own marriage and gave us insider tips for restaurants and excursions along the Algarve. Conclusion: A truly wonderful experience – professional, heartfelt, and perfectly organized. I can genuinely and wholeheartedly recommend this tour! 💛🌅🚤

A superb sunset excursion on the Ria Formosa 🌅! Communication was fluid from the start, Sandra very considerate and Ricardo gave us beautiful explanations in French throughout the trip. A peaceful and unforgettable time, which I highly recommend.

We had a pleasant evening on this sunset tour. The sunset was beautiful, and the guide gave us a very good introduction to the Ria Formosa Natural Park, including the local environment and nature in the area.The tour is quite relaxed and slow-paced, so it may not be the most exciting activity if you are looking for something more action-packed, but that is really just the nature of this type of tour rather than a criticism. Everything was well organised, the scenery was lovely, and overall there was very little to fault. A nice and peaceful way to spend an evening in Faro.

Great boat operator and very informative on the local wildlife and learned about the tides in the area

We had a lovely and relaxed sunset cruise. Just what the doctor ordered after a hectic day of travel. The boat was solar powered and super quiet. Captain Miguel was very accomplished at pointing out local birds. We saw spoonbills, curlews, and egrets and even a flyover by two flamingos.

We enjoyed the peaceful trip round the lagoon. The colours were stunning on the sunset trip and we saw plenty of birdlife. Luís, our guide, was friendly and informative. He spotted and identified various bird species. As the boat is solar powered, there was no noisy, stinky engine. This made the trip more relaxing.

Booked this private sunset cruise as a surprise for my husband. Just the right length of time 1.5 hrs. Ricardo was a great host, good English and very knowledgable and interactive. He arranged the most stunning red sunset ;-) and surprise bubbly. Background music available. The meet and great and email communications were 10/10 from Sandra.

We had the chance to be in touch with Sandra to book 2 boat rides during our stay. Sandra is incredibly kind, caring and attentive to our expectations. Our guides, Ricardo and Antonio, are just like her. We had two magical moments thanks to them and we learned a lot about Faro and Portugal.

Very nice tour, João was very friendly and informative, and switched between different languages so everyone could understand. My friend and I did this on a whim and we were so glad we did it!
