An Absolutely Wonderful, Authentic Croatian Experience!
From beginning to end, this experience was exceptional. Even the transportation deserves a special mention! Everything was incredibly well organized, and our driver—who is a member of the family—was friendly, welcoming, and made the trip to and from the experience completely seamless.When we arrived, we were warmly greeted with a sample of their delicious homemade liqueur, and from that moment on, we truly felt like guests in their home rather than customers at a cooking class.Our hostess, Nike, was absolutely outstanding. She has such a warm and welcoming personality and immediately made us feel comfortable and included. Throughout the evening, we learned about their family, their farm, and their way of life, which made the experience feel incredibly authentic and personal.And then came the cooking! We made bread, chopped veggies, made pasta, and dessert and learned so much along the way. One of our favorite parts was touring their beautiful garden and picking fresh vegetables that would become part of our salad and dinner. There is something pretty special about picking ingredients from the garden and then sitting down together to enjoy the meal you helped prepare.The food was outstanding. Their homemade wine was equally impressive—we tried both the red and the white and thoroughly enjoyed them. Dessert was made with seasonal figs and was absolutely delicious and the perfect ending to the meal.We also really enjoyed the other family who shared the experience with us. By the end of the evening, it felt less like attending a cooking class and more like spending a wonderful evening cooking, eating, drinking wine, and sharing stories with new friends and a Croatian family.If you are looking for an authentic, warm, and memorable experience while visiting Croatia, do not miss this one. It was truly one of the highlights of our trip, and we would highly recommend it!
