With the help of the third generation of Prodan family members, you will discover behind the scenes of the fascinating truffle world and this precious ingredient as one of the most expensive food in the world . Accompanied by the truffle dogs, first we will go to look for truffles which we will need to cook a delicious truffle meal. After variety of truffle starters, ladies from the family will show you how to make the best traditional scrambled eggs with freshly found truffles. You will be able to see all the ingredients and preparation from start to finish, by finding out little secrets of creating this memorable dish. Every single meal will have truffles, even the salad!
You will discover the traditional truffle dishes of Istria prepared with the freshest ingredients, all while learning about truffle history and observing breathtaking views on the old town of Buzet.
All meals can be adapted to vegetarian, pescatarian, vegan, and gluten free diets, with prior notice.

What To Expect
For anyone looking to discover a unique experience and explore the true Istria with the locals, truffle hunting with our Prodan family is a must! You’ll learn about the three generation truffle-hunting tradition, and meet the cutest truffle dogs, experts at finding these underground treasures. We will guide you through our private woods as we search for truffles. The adrenaline will lead you as you follow the dogs in this exciting hunt. Afterward, enjoy the homemade truffle delicacies. The ladies of the Prodan family will prepare a truffle feast with the finest local dishes and fresh truffles. Starting with homemade truffle spreads, truffle cheeses, jam, salami, and olive oil with truffles. For the main course, enjoy our signature scrambled eggs with fresh truffles which will be prepared in front of you, so you can see the whole preparation and all the little secrets. As a side comes the salad with white truffle balsamico dressing. For dessert - vanilla ice cream topped with a white truffle honey. Enjoy the homemade elderflower juice, water, and local wine.
This experience is more than food, it’s about creating memories with a local Istrian family that will last for a lifetime.
