Bulelani did a fabulous job introducing us to Cape Town and South Africa through the food he had is taste and the history he conveyed to us with wonderful conversation and stories.

It is a lot of fun…Parinita our guide took us to some local places to sample a variety of foods at two different stops. In between eating she would show us the neighborhood and places of historic nature and explained the context behind them. All in all we enjoyed the few hours we spent with her…the food was good and she is a delight

We had an exceptional time on the wine tour. Everything was arranged well. Jim was very knowledgeable about the wine and the region.

Tastings is a bit of a misnomer. We had 10 full meals or platters at several local eateries. All of the food was sensational. And our tour guide was an obvious local favorite. He was so knowledgeable about both the city and its history. We had a great time.

My husband and I booked a private wine tour with Jim for April 7th 2024 (He was recommended to us by a friend who also had a great experience with Jim). Little did we know that it would be the day a big storm blew through the Cape Winelands with a level 9 warning. While we did not get to the planned vineyards, as many were closed due to fallen trees, we certainly enjoyed tasting multiple wines at Lievland, Bartinney, and Avondale Vineyards as well as a delightful lunch at the Faber restaurant at Avondale and a tour of their cellars. Jim was an amazing guide taking great care of us, driving safely, and sharing lots of great information about the area and about the wines we were tasting. He worked hard to find out which vineyards would be open and to ensure we had bookings to replace the ones that were closed - he is someone who can think on his feet and flex with the situation. We had a very enjoyable day, and I would highly recommend Jim for a private wine tour.

Jim was an excellent guide and arranger for a terrific wine tour. Jim is quite knowledgeable on a variety of subjects, including of course wine - wine in general and within the region. I very much appreciated his insights and our day together. Highly recommend!

Due to circumstances outside their control the tour did not happen. Tour guide had car trouble and couldn’t make it. Viatour refunded the full amount no questions no hassles. Excellent service

We had a wonderful few hours with Bulelani who was a brilliant guide getting us to chomp our way under the skin of cape town. An excellent mix of history and modern culture while also being great company. Highly recommended.

If you are a foodie, this is a must do tour whilst you are in Cape Town. Gilbert is an excellent guide and truly it felt like we were just hanging out with a group of friends, learning about the local South African food as well as culture and history.We met up at city hall and was already introduced to the Nelson Mandela statue. We walked around the city eating at places we would never have gone if we were not with Gilbert. We went to 5-6 different eateries and ate/drank about 15 different food items. All of it was just so tasty. One of the highlights was the malva pudding that Gilbert made himself.Because he brought us walking through the whole city, we really got to see and experience the place like locals do. The people were so friendly. We spent time walking off what we ate which was needed. The gardens was lovely and we also got to spot the white squirrels.We were very lucky to have gotten Gilbert as our tour guide. He was so passionate and knowledgeable. Also with a good sense of humour. What was better was for the food we couldn’t finish, Gilbert did not hesitate to pack it up and to give it to the homeless people who came up to us.Highly recommend this tour!

Our experience with Daryl was delicious and informative. Not only did he let us example authentic food from his amazing country, he share the history that went with it.

Our time with the very knowledgable and personable Chris was terrific. Aside from an introduction of South African foods he gave us an excellent perspective on history and culture.
