We had a great experience with Chef Mikel. He was patient and entertaining as we chopped, stirred and cooked our way through 2 paellas and a Basque burnt cheesecake. The wine was good, the food was delicious and the company was fun. The kitchen was well appointed and sparkling clean with workstations for all. We highly recommend this experience as a must do in Barcelona!

We took the pintxos course with friends, and it was a great addition to our Bilbao trip. Chef Mikel kept the class fun but also informative. Everyone got to participate, but Mikel made sure our efforts ended in delicious success. I felt the experience was a good value for the price and would recommend this class.

Wonderful Basque cooking Class
It a great experience. Everything about it was fun. The instructor was knowledgeable, funny and made sure everyone was included and having fun. The food was delicious - all of it grilled sausage, Gilda, stuffed red peppers with cod and béchamel, pattatas fritta, cheese, cider, red and white wine. It ended with an individual basque cheesecake which was delicious. Creamy center - amazing. The course flew by. I highly recommend it.

All around great experience. Mikel is a fantastic host/instructor with a wealth of experience. He's incredibly personable and able to keep the class lively and interesting. Kitchen is spacious, clean, and well prepared. You do get to enjoy your creations at the end of the session, so you don't necessarily need a dinner reservation afterwards. All the 5-star reviews are well deserved.

I went to this cooking class with my mum & we had THE BEST time. Mikel (who spoke fluent english) made an enormous amount of effort to integrate the group & ensure we were all chatting away in no time.The drinks were flowing & the time flew by! Not only did I love the attention to detail with knife skills, we were given the history behind the dishes too & of course, we all got to sit together and eat all of them.Honestly, couldn't fault it. Hands down, our best experience in Bilbao. I would recommend doing this at the start of your trip as Mikel had so many good recommendations!

Without doubt this was one of the highlights of our trip. We loved every bit of it. We learned so much from our chef, Pato. He’s a great guy. So much fun and knowlageable. If you’re going to do this plan for it taking most of the day, and it’s worth every second. You meet great people, cook great food, drink fun wines and learned so much. This is an absolute must!
