Wearing traditional Armenian clothing for my photoshoot was such a beautiful and meaningful experience. The intricate details, rich colors, and craftsmanship made me feel deeply connected to Armenia’s history and culture. It was more than just a photoshoot — it felt like honoring a proud and timeless tradition. I highly recommend this experience to anyone who wants to celebrate culture in a unique and unforgettable way.

I was able to choose my favorite costume from many beautiful designs, and Narine was incredibly kind and gave clear, helpful instructions. During the painting session, she even played music that matched my taste, and we enjoyed chatting throughout. I had such a wonderful and relaxing time. The finished doll became a very special and memorable souvenir for me.

I was in a rush, so I didn’t get a chance to paint the door myself, but I bought a door, and they kindly gave me a window too. They instantly take a photo and share it on their wall like breaking news, which was really fun. You can even get it for just 500 AMD. They also have fridge magnets with QR codes that let you watch an episode of Varem Marem from the picture. Such a creative and unique experience

Absolutely recommend going to Varem Marem Studio when visiting Gyumri. It's such a fun and creative space! There are lots of activities. My friend and I did the Gyumri door activity. We first chose which style of door we wanted, mixed the ingredients, cast it into the mold, and then painted them. They double as magnets! There's a coffee shop right next to it where you can grab a coffee and get your portrait drawn on a cup after standing for just 5 minutes (she’s amazing, won’t disappoint), plus a cute souvenir shop right beside it :)

What a fun and special day this was! Narine is SUCH a masterful doll maker. She carefully guided us through the process of choosing a doll and a traditional dress to base our design off of. With care, she gave us step by step instructions in a calm and relaxing environment, including coffee, tea, snacks, and light music. This experience was such a pleasure and I can't wait to do it again!

Traveled to Armenia with the whole family because I had spent a night in Gyumri and stumbled across the photography studio online. Need to book a good time in advance, the boss speaks good English, plus WhatsApp will communicate the requirements and different offers in detail. Adults and children have clothes, will help choose clothes and accessories, will also introduce the background and source of clothing, is a very good boss! The photos are sent to the USB download link within 1 week of being taken. If you are in the country, you need to use a VPN to download them.

This was such a unique and unforgettable experience! Narine is a master doll maker, and she guides you through your doll painting process step by step. Through her knowledge, warmth, and hospitality we had a wonderful day that we will remember forever. Thank you, Narine!

This workshop was such a blast! I love dolls and art so I was excited to find Naro’s doll painting experience. She is really knowledgeable about the different Armenian costumes and helps you choose the one you want and the accessories that go with it. She made it accessible even if you don’t have a lot of art skill, and she served me my first lavash for a snack - it was so delicious! I really enjoyed this workshop - do it, you won’t regret it!

This photo session was so much more than just taking pictures—it was a cultural experience. We were welcomed like family, served tea and snacks, and introduced to the rich Armenian traditions of Gyumri (and other regions of Armenia). The hosts were warm, kind, and made everything feel natural and comfortable. Trying on the stunning traditional Taraz costumes was a highlight, and with their guidance, we felt truly beautiful. The photo shoot itself was thoughtful, detailed, and full of care. This is an absolute must for anyone visiting Gyumri—an authentic way to connect with Armenian culture and its incredibly hospitable people. Highly recommended, this place is a must see when you come to Gyumri. This place is also located right in the center of the city across from many other popular attractions, so it can easily fit into your itinerary
