Bora Bora Travel Guides (Updated September 2026)

My wife and I have been to Bora Bora three times now and have done excursions each trip. This was by far the best experience we’ve had so far. Mo and Manax were both amazing, not only sharing their knowledge of the island, but more importantly, its history and culture. We got to see a sea turtle, two manta rays, black tips, and stingrays. However, the highlight of the trip was seeing a juvenile hammerhead swimming in the lagoon…a rare sighting that neither Mo nor Manax had seen before. This was especially memorable for me, as I have a hammerhead (ma’o hāmara), manta ray (fāfā piti), and turtle (honu) tattoo …in one day I was able to see all the animals that have special meaning to me in my tattoo. We will come back to Bora Bora again, and will without a doubt use Bora Bora Activities Center for any excursions we do!P.S. thank you Mo and Manax for letting me practice my Tahitian with you both! Fabulous morning snorkelling with Mo, accompanied by his ukulele! Saw manta rays , eagle rays, coral garden, sharks and stingrays. Friendly guide and captain, incredible experiences , and highly recommend!

Our snorkeling tour in Bora Bora was absolutely incredible! Manu, our guide, was not only extremely friendly and fun, but also explained everything perfectly and made the whole experience even more special. Captain Tea also guided us wonderfully throughout the tour.It was truly an unforgettable experience, and we loved absolutely everything! We spent the day at the Bora Bora Activities Center and we couldn't have been better inspired. The young woman who welcomed us at the reception was absolutely adorable. We were then taken care of by Manu and Tea who were perfect. All our questions were answered and kindness was present throughout the day.Having a health problem and being short of breath, I thought I would only do half of the water entries, like in my past experiences. But Manu offered me a buoy that he towed each time, taking care to ask me regularly how I was doing. I didn't miss anything from the day and I am truly grateful to him for it.The meal on the motu and the show that followed: everything was perfect.My husband and I recommend it 200%. We will remember this magnificent day and regret that there are not more guides like Manu and Tea. Thanks again to you Manu and Tea. Corinne (Coco) and Eric

We had a great time on the pearl excursion in Bora Bora. The guides were awesome - fun, kind, prompt and very knowledgeable. We ended up with two nice pearls from "our own" oysters that my wife is looking forward to having set in a necklace. Plus, the views of Bora Bora were fantastic. We highly recommend this excursion.

Very pleasant walk in the turquoise blue lagoon, we were able to spot some rays and fish. The welcome was perfect, very warm, and the directions were clear. I recommend it 100%.

The absoluteley amaizing tour. We got and saw more then expexted. TOM, the captain was amaizing all day and did en extra mile in the end of the tour.

Hiro is a very available, attentive, and professional captain (with an incredible knowledge of his island, its culture, its people, the flora and fauna) who is passionate and knew how to make us enjoy every moment aboard his very comfortable boat and on his motu with a meal from Tatie and entertainment from his friendly cousins A big thank you to him and his family

10 out of 10 experience! My wife and I went yesterday with Capt John and 1st Mate Gabby who made the trip absolutely incredible. We started off by sailing to a reef where we snorkled followed by sailing to a sandbar where Gabby and John set up a great little floating bar with a unique view of the mountain. I cannot recommend this excursion enough!

We did French Polynesia and Hawaii in this trip and I can honestly say this experience was our best of them all. We got to see the life in the ocean like I’ve never seen before. Our tour guides were just so amazing, knowledgeable, and very kind. This is a definite must!
