Ajaccio Travel Guides (Updated September 2026)

The host was incredibly gracious, and this was a perfect late lunch stop for us after a busy morning jet skiing in the heat. After reading the reviews, I booked this outing so we could have a nice, fun little stop after our planned morning of jet skiing in Corsica. Our jet skiing adventure ran over, making our family of 8 late arriving to our timed show. The host graciously agreed to do a later show for us as soon as the prior show ended, so we ended up having the whole place to ourselves. It was so kind and thoughtful of him. The show/film itself was much more interesting and educational than I expected. Given Napolean's ties to Corsica and the interesting of the island, I am so glad we saw the show. I learned a great deal more than I expected to learn. Having grown up in Louisiana, a state proud of its unique history, I actually thought I had a decent grasp on the history of Napolean, but I learned quite a bit about him and the island of Corsica that I did not know. Highly recommend it for a relaxed meal stop with a lovely host and a gentle history lesson on the side.

Very good, the lunch is excellent and the videos on the life of Napoleon are very informative and served with many explanations and exchanges with the speakers. Highly recommended.

Honestly great with children.

We were taken to places we never would have found like Lake Tolla, a honey farm with a beautiful rolling stream and a Pizzeria with the most stunning views

Well worth a visit. Pleasant walk around sanctuary which was interesting, well kept with plenty of information around. Gift shop and cafe also good Plenty of shade.

Park remarkable for the variety of species. Land tortoises, giant tortoises, aquatic tortoises….the path is extremely well organized, under the trees and benefiting from the coolness of the Gravone river (with misting in different places that is quite adequate). Special mention for the very well-maintained enclosures which also host magnificent maquis or aquatic plants. The written and oral explanations are remarkable (2 very well-led mini lectures). Experience to be had with the family, young children will find their happiness there.

We were on a cruise of the Mediterranean and had a stop in Corsica. We weren't sure what we wanted to do at this stop, so we looked around Cool Destinations and found this experience. We were pleasantly surprised with our experience here. My husband, daughter (10 years old), and I all went to the Cave for a 12pm meal and documentary experience. The host, Alex, was wonderful and the meal was delicious. Alex grew up in Corsica, and we learned a lot from him. The hospitality we found in Corsica was the best of any location we visited on our 21 day tour of the Mediterranean, and we agreed if we come back to the Mediterranean, Corsica is on our list to come back. Much of this feeling is because of the hospitality we received during this excursion at the Cave. We learned a lot about Napoleon and Corsica through this experience, and the people who live on this island and the friendliest we have met. The "Cave" restaurant is beautiful and unique, and the screens (that look like picture frames) show the movie we watched during our meal. We personally enjoyed the movie, and before going here we went to Napoleon's house and the Naporama on our own, so we had a foundation for what we were going to see. The movie was a bit of a "drama" and had some unique translation choices to the English version. All that being said, we personally enjoyed it, loved our experience, and would recommend it to others. Just go in with an open mind and be ready to enjoy a delicious salad, meats, cheese, pastries, jam, and dessert if you got the full meal. A drink was also included as well. Hoping we can make it back again in the near future.

Nothing special to say, very interesting

Nice park, lots of explanations about the various species. For example, it would also be nice if an audio tour were available, because the signs with explanations were in French. The entrance fee is reasonable for what you can expect.

Great visit today, with an explanation at 10 a.m. by a caregiver. All the people at the park are super nice, Very available caregivers who provided me with all the answers to my questions! Thank you very much! Large parking lot with shaded spots. Snack bar and souvenir shop available

A truly exceptional immersive experience! This restaurant immersed us in the world of Napoleon in Ajaccio, with an original and very well realized staging. It was fun, interesting and perfectly adapted to a school group. We enjoyed delicious Corsican specialties in a unique setting, which made the moment even more striking. The whole class loved this experience, both for the atmosphere and the quality of the meal. A cultural and gourmet activity that we highly recommend. Thank you for this unforgettable moment!

Nice part day excursion from cruise ship. Taxi from port to the park was 95 euros. Suitable for able footed as the walk paths change elevation. Our visit in October found many species in hibernation.
