This experience gives you a three-for-one. A guided scenic drive, to a part around tromsø there usually are no tours. Guided hike in untouched nature. As well as to try your hand at ice fishing. Where if we catch the fish you or I get dinner.
When it comes to hiking and ice-fishing in Tromsø, I can truly provide a unique experience. This is one of the things I have done the most throughout my life, with a deep understanding of the terrain, lakes and wildlife. I will give you an insight into all I know.
If you have already booked all the standard tours, this is one of those to break it up. See new landscapes on our drive and hike up to the lake, try a special type of ice-fishing. Let's make an ever-lasting memory together!

What To Expect
Join me on an unforgettable adventure, a snowshoe hike and an ice fishing trip outside of Tromsø!
We'll start our journey by meeting at the pick-up to make sure all the equipment fits. Then, we'll hop in the car and start a scenic 30-minute drive to a lake.
Once we arrive, we'll strap on our snowshoes and set off on a guided hike through the snow-covered landscape. The duration of the hike will on conditions, but it typically takes 50 minutes to reach our destination – the frozen lake.
Here, we'll do ice fishing firsthand. With traditional techniques, we'll drill through the thick ice, drop our lines, and wait for the fish to bite. While waiting we'll make a fire, enjoy lunch, snacks and drinks, and share stories.
After catching fish on the ice, we'll pack up and begin our hike a different way back. On the way keep your eyes peeled for Arctic wildlife and let's talk of the fauna.
By the time we return to your hotel, you'll have gained a newfound appreciation for the winter landscape of Tromsø and learned the art of ice fishing and life of everything living in the Arctic.

Yes. Whatever the fishing calls for: live bait, frozen bait, cut bait, or chum, our Charter Captains will have plentiful supplies on hand. The same thing goes for artificial bait such as lures, flies, or plugs.
Jul 2022If you have any doubts about becoming seasick on the water, we recommend taking a Dramamine® Motion Sickness Relief tablet the night before your trip. Some people recommend taking it the night before your cruise and then again that morning so you will not feel so drowsy.
