Goat Walk
Overview
At Gufuá, farming is more than a livelihood. It’s a gentle dance with nature, woven together with the rhythm of slow, mindful travel. Here, sustainability isn’t just practiced, it’s a way of being, rooted in harmony with the land, the animals, and the stories the wind carries.
Wander our farm alongside our whimsical goats, who will gladly lead you on an unforgettable journey. As you walk through this enchanted landscape, you’ll discover the charm and curiosity of these remarkable creatures, each with a spirit as wild and wonderful as the Icelandic wilderness itself.
Nestled in a spellbinding corner of West Iceland, Gufuá is a place of ancient birch-covered hills, cascading waterfalls, hidden gorges, and a canyon carved by time. The farm takes its name from the mystical salmon river Gufuá, or “River of Steam,” which winds its way through the land, echoing the stories of settlers who walked this land over a thousand years ago.
Come walk with us, through nature, history, and wonder.
