Overview
You will have an unforgettable tailor-made tour to the largest private winery in Montenegro - Lipovac Winery, which is located on the mountain slopes of the Skadar Lake reserve. It is difficult to imagine, but the traditions of winemaking have been preserved here since the 3rd century B.C. This is evidenced by amphoras and jugs found during archaeological excavations.
During the tour, you will learn the history of Montenegrin winemaking, taste the best wines from the autochthonous grape varieties of Montenegro, and enjoy the magnificent landscapes.
You will see Georgian ancient clay qvevri, which are located directly in the ground. Since 2011, this method has been included in the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage List; and Italian terracotta amphoraes. The traditions of amphora wine, perfected by the ancient Greeks and Romans as a time machine, allow you to go back many centuries and taste the drinks of our ancestors.
