As you explore the bustling aisles of Lucas de Gálvez Market, you’ll discover the seasonal fruits, spices, herbs, and fresh ingredients that form the heart of Yucatecan cuisine. Your guide will explain not only what locals cook with, but also where these ingredients come from and how they’re sourced.
You’ll also enjoy a light breakfast of local snacks and traditional dishes, offering a delicious introduction to the region’s food culture.
With ingredients freshly purchased, your guide will take you by local transportation to the welcoming home of your hostess. In her cozy kitchen, you’ll begin a hands-on cooking class that offers far more than recipes.
