Los Cabos Open Water Diver Course
Overview
In our Open Water Course, we give you the necessary tools to instruct you under the direction of the highest expert guides to obtain the OPEN WATER DIVER SSI certificate. This program has been recognized worldwide as the best way for you to begin to enter the underwater world.
We will combine practice sessions in the water with a little reading and videos until we ensure that you have the necessary skills to become a diver who is safe and comfortable underwater. We will divide this certification into a total of 11 hours of training which will be taken in 3 different days. It is important that you have read the material that we will provide you previously, as well as seen the videos to be able to enter the water.
In Los Cabos there are dream spots for diving and the best thing about them is that they are suitable for beginner divers; Pelican Rock and North Wall are the most prominent and their depths do not exceed 12 meters.

What To Expect
In this course you will learn how to dive comfortably underwater at some of the best diving spots for beginners in the world.
During 3 days, our dive instructors (certified by SSI, Scuba Schools International) will guide you in a relaxed ambience through the certification process, which includes video presentations, theory, practical lessons & 3 dives in different locations, including open water dives at the Sea of Cortez.
Scubaja, our diving centre, will take care of everything you need during your course, such as your diving gear, water & snacks, lunch, etc.
The Open Water Diver certification you get is the first level of professional diving and allows you to dive internationally up to 18m deep.

Participants in the Los Cabos Open Water Diver Course cannot fly in an airplane within 24 hours of their dive.
The main concern with scuba diving and flying is decompression sickness (DCS). Your body needs adequate time during an ascent to off-gas excess nitrogen, or you can form bubbles in your bloodstream, possibly leading to DCS.
Jun 2024If you have any doubts about becoming seasick on the water, we recommend taking a Dramamine® Motion Sickness Relief tablet the night before your trip. Some people recommend taking it the night before your cruise and then again that morning so you will not feel so drowsy.
Feb 2023- For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the tour start time.
- If you cancel less than 24 hours before the tour start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
