What To Expect
Starting at Manchester Square on Blackpool's famous Promenade, enter your 6-digit game code that you received by text and Viator chat message into the free Explorial app and begin a self-guided trail along one of Britain's most exuberant seafronts.
The Blackpool Tower, inspired by the Eiffel Tower and opened in 1894, dominates the Golden Mile — challenges here probe the engineering feat that made it possible and the ballroom hidden inside.
Below the Tower, the Comedy Carpet is a vast outdoor artwork celebrating British comedy, inlaid with jokes, catchphrases, and the names of performers who played Blackpool's stages — riddles here test your knowledge of the acts and venues it honours.
At Blackpool North Pier, the oldest and most elegant of the town's three piers, stretching nearly a kilometre into the Irish Sea, you'll tackle questions about Victorian pier culture and the performers who made it famous.
The trail takes around two hours at a comfortable pace.
