The sunset hike with Samil, Mehmed and Oscar was just simply amazing! It’s like spending half a day hiking with friends. We learnt a lot about the culture & history as we hiked around the Red & Rose Valleys, visited the Column Church & had fresh orange juice from a cafe at the summit. We caught the sunset from the summit as well, and the view was stunning. Oscar was a great guide! I highly recommend this tour to anyone wanting to see the beauty of the Red & Rose Valleys.

Near the cafeteria where you stop to rest (note: drinks are not included, only water at the beginning of the tour) there is another frescoed church that, unlike the others we have seen, is not closed (perhaps because it is not reached DA many people) and you can visit. We enjoyed the sunset and the view of the rose Valley in the middle of a not too challenging route. Best tour of Cappadocia for us! (We also did the Red tour and the green tour)

What a fantastic tour we had. DE trek through DE red and rose valley was breathtakingly beautiful. DE colors, DE rock formations, the view, a fantastic sunset. But what was most fantastic about DE trip was Oskar together with DE guide. Our children EN were totally in love with Oskar, and greatly enjoyed DE walk. They were so busy with Oskar, they made the walk without DE effort. We look back on it with great pleasure! Highly recommended for anyone with kids!

One of the best experiences I had in Cappadocia, much more than a standard hike. Cannot recommend enough. As for Oscar - what a character and how he loves to hike.... for the first time I felt I wasn't being taken in by the whole tourist vibe and was connecting with the Turkey I was looking for.

We all (6 of us) had a fabulous time walking up through the red and rose valley in the evening with Penna Tours. Seeing the flora and geology, checking out the fairy chimneys and learning about who used them on the way. Our guide was easy going and very knowledgeable. Two of his friends came with us as well as Oscar the dog. We shared the track with some horse trekkers at times. We stopped for fresh orange juice on the way as well. We all made it comfortably and enjoyed the wine tasting at the top whilst we watched the sun set. A fitting end to a great day!

A must-do hike during your stay here in Göreme.Samil is a fantastic tour guide—he shares lots of information about the sites, is very easygoing and down to earth. Plus, he’s an excellent photographer!He brings his dog Oscar, who is the star of the hike and leads the way.Samil even got us the best orange juice at a café just before we watched an amazing sunset.

Great place for sunset, much loved by locals too, we went back twice. Recommended to reach it in advance so you can also go inside the valley, and then position yourself high to enjoy the sunset

The views and scenery were great. Unfortunately the "english language tour" had a non english speaking guide. He tried and had to use google translate to answer questions. There are muddy sections so good shoes are a must.

The scenery is breathtaking and some amazing history which was brought to life and given great context by our guide Şamil. He was great in answering all of our questions and showing us some cool places, highly recommend Rose Valley Tour with Şamil!P.S. Oscar (pet dog) is a superstar and loves to pose for some great pics!

The valleys themselves are marvellous, and the sunset there is just speechless. The tour guide Samil is friendly and nice. He explains clearly and always makes sure everyone is okay during the trip. I was hesitating to join the tour. But now, i would say i have a good decision, especially when you have no experience in hiking on your own but want to have a taste of it. The route is short and easy and you start from late afternoon when the sun becomes mild. Every thing is perfect. I really enjoy it.

Our Red and Rose Valley hiking trip was very enjoyable, not only because of the lovely green river bed and beautiful terrain but mostly to our two guides who took great pains to allow us freedom to take many pictures. They were informative, knowledgeable about the history and patient as the going was made difficult due to extensive erosion a few days prior caused by torrential flooding. The big stone church in the valley was one awesome experience. Many neglected patches of agriculture became the source of walnut and grape feasting, offered by the guides. The tasty juice cafe offered a welcome toilet facility as well. Our sunset hike was ended quite a while after sunset and the guides' knowledge of the footpaths to the parking spot ensured smooth sailing that could've been difficult for inexperienced people. We highly recommend their services.

I recently took part in the organized tour and I have to say it was a really amazing experience.Our Guide was extremely knowledgeable and passionate, managing to convey the history and culture of the place in an engaging and never boring way. We were able to admire the local beauties, but also to discover hidden and less touristy corners that made the visit even more special.Transportation to and from the hotel was convenient and on time!

One of the most famous treks in Cappadocia crosses these two spectacular valleys, in a breathtaking landscape reminiscent of the lunar one, made up of bizarre rocks with soft colors that range from reddish, to pinkish, to white. The action of water and erosion over the millennia has given rise to suggestive shapes. The route connects the town of Cavusin with a point north of Goreme, the one-way route takes about a couple of hours. You can also reach the final point by car by paying a modest toll and waiting for the sunset which is exceptional (type Kizilcurkur Valley on Google Earth).
