My family and I had the most incredible time with Jon and Gaye! We were a group of six coming for the dinner class, and they were wonderfully accommodating. The conversation was lively, food was delicious, and we are so grateful to have made such interesting new friends.If you are looking for a unique experience in the Bodrum area, definitely book with them!! We are all looking forward to practicing the dishes once we return home.

Great experience. Emsal gave us really good training on making Turkish coffee. Im not a pro but I think we both got the hang of it. Emsal is very knowledgeable about Turkish culture, the local area, good restaurants and history. We recommend!

This was such a spectacular experience! The chef and guide were excellent and provided a great cooking class experience. The food was fabulous and very easy, thanks to the chef. We would definitely recommend this experience to anyone visiting Kusadasi. come prepared to eat!!

Perfect day! Can’t imagine a better way to spend time in Bodrum. It was definitely a highlight of our trip. The market was very interesting and enjoyed learning some new produce and the stop in the spice shop was a treat! The drive to the winery where the cooking class was held was itself a beautiful way to see some of the area outside of town. The winery and restaurant was stunning. We had a beautiful shaded area outside where the restaurant’s chef gave us a very personal lesson while we helped prepare several fresh vegetable dishes and a phyllo dish with meat and one with cheese. She offered so much information about the ingredients and the culture as she explained and showed us how she prepares the meal. After it was finished cooking, we all happily enjoyed the beautiful and delicious dishes as a full meal including different wines from their collection. It was incredible! This is a one of a kind location and opportunity to spend time with a very talented and knowledgeable chef on local foods and cuisine who really gives you an insight into the culture of the area.

Lovely experience on local host house. Wonderful time learning about turkish culinary techniques. Can and his wife were delightful and welcoming. Can also picked us up at hotel and showed us the sights along the way

Olivia was amazing. She spoke of the history of where coffee was more than likely comes from. Discussed the market of coffee in the bean belt and made my Russian speaking friend 100% comfortable being multilingual. Even if you do not normally book a “class” on a holiday definitely reconsider this one… With Turkish coffee served almost at every cafe and restaurant why not learn how to make this delicious drink?! From manual grinding to brewing Olivia made the experience something I would go back to with new friends or family. Even the fortune telling (normally not for me) was entertaining and equally interesting.

I had a very lovely and insightful education on the art of brewing Turkish coffee. My soncere gratitude and appreciation to the friendly and very competent OLIVIA who shared her joy and passion of making Turkish coffee. I enjoyed the immersive experience (grinding the beans, brewing coffee, interesting tasseology, and the lovely gift bag). I highly recommend the experience especially to those who either enjoy the coffee culture or those who have the curiosity.

This class was wonderful! We were welcomed into Sinem’s home where she taught us how to make a traditional meal. It was informative and fun and yes, the food was fabulous! We already purchased the spices and ingredients to try it at home!

Sinem welcomed us into her wonderful family home in Antalya and gave us exactly the experience that we were looking for. We were given clear and easy directions to the meet up point.Once there, we were welcomed with a choice of Turkish tea or coffee. We spent time preparing a delicious Turkish meal with fresh produce and ingredients. We prepared truly traditional Turkish dishes that were new for us and not from restaurants. This totally fulfilled our wishes for a local Turkish experience.Overall Sinem and Lokal Bond were fantastic to work with. They communicated well and even went above and beyond and accommodated our request to change the time so we can make it back in time for our cruise. My wife and I are so grateful for the friendly experience and are excited to take home some lovely new recipes to try!

How to word an experience that was so over the top wonderful. First the kitchen and the pictures match, it is really clean and nice. The owner taught us herself, she is a trained chef. I asked to learn something not included in the usual class ahead of time, and she happily added. Her food was beautiful and totally fresh. It was the perfect amount of time, 2 hours. Any longer and my husband would be bored, but enough time to learn to cook an authentic meal. The chef is fun and clearly loves her company!

I really liked the experience! It was an interesting activity, learning a little more about Turkish culture, its customs, and its relationship with coffee. Our guide Emsal was very kind and assertive during the activity.Recommended.
