Our tour guide, Tejanie, made this trip truly memorable! He was incredibly knowledgeable, accommodating, and professional. His explanations were clear, and nothing ever felt rushed, which was especially important for me as I am currently recovering from a broken leg.Tejanie made sure I was comfortable throughout the experience and ensured that the tour flowed smoothly. His level of professionalism was unmatched.My partner was interested in planting a tree, and although it wasn’t something that was normally offered, Tejanie went out of his way to make that little dream a reality. He even had her name the tree, which made the experience feel even more personal and special. Those are the little things that truly make a difference!Afterwards, we met John, and he certainly didn’t disappoint. He made the chocolate-making process so much fun and was very knowledgeable about chocolate and the entire process. John even stepped in to help us when we got tired of pounding the chocolate. Thanks, buddy it looks like I may need to hit the gym! 😂Chef Jana also took great care of us with some tasty wings and a delicious chicken roti. Everything was absolutely delicious!Overall, it was truly an amazing experience that I would recommend to anyone looking for a memorable adventure and the opportunity to learn about chocolate making. This was the best experience and would highly recommend. Our guide was very informative and charismatic. We saw the cocoa tree nurseries, then walked around their gardens and learned about the cacao & coffee trees and various plants. We tasted fresh cocoa seeds, then had a very fun chocolate making class. I would recommend this it was 100/10 experiences.

Our cooking class with Chef Jules was amazing! He taught us to make 3 delicious courses and was a lot of fun. We appreciated learning about the history of the island and trying new dishes. We will definitely be trying to re create at home!The property was beautiful with a wonderful view. Would definitely recommend this experience!

This was such a great morning. To learn about the sustainability and cooperation between the farmers was so good to hear, I’m a big fan of hotel chocolate products so this was a must for me. Vernice our guide was an amazing character, really engaging and made everything fun, plus she was so knowledgeable too. Making the chocolate bar needed plenty of elbow grease but again was very fun, everybody chatting and laughing. The lunch provided was delicious, my husband especially loved the plantain crisps A fabulous morning, definitely worth a visit

My husband, mother and I recently had a cooking class with Claudia. It was a great experience. We booked online and had easy communication with Claudia ahead of time to pick the dish. When we arrived, Claudia and her mother were welcoming. We cooked the saltfish with coconut sauce, and it was delicious. We learned a lot about a variety of local cooking and ingredients beyond the dish we were cooking. We ate the meal on her porch which is beautiful and overlooks the water. Overall it was a great experience which I recommend for anyone that wants to learn more about St. Lucian cooking.

Chef Emmanuel and staff were very informative and made the experience fun and memorable. We learned a lot about the culture of St Lucia as well as indigenous fruits and herbs.

This is an amazing tour to do, but be prepared to work up a sweat. Making your own chocolate is hard work, but is great fun. What Hotel Chocalat have set up is is a fantastic thing, especially the FarmHer initiative. But your arm will ache after. Our driver Sheldon was amazing, very knowledgeable about the Island, and the additional stops for photos and rum tasting were a great addition to the tour.

A great experience overall. The day was very hot, and we didn’t realise how much walking and how many stairs were involved, so some people with health conditions struggled. Hotel Chocolat should consider putting fans in the area where the groups make chocolate.The prices in the shops were only a couple of pounds cheaper than in the UK, so there wasn’t much incentive to buy anything. However, the Hotel Chocolat milkshake was delicious, and there was a good variety of food available in the restaurants.

Such an amazing experience from start to finish. Making our own chocolate bars from scratch was so great. The guide Vernice was amazing. And then the lunch afterwards and local drinks and treats were phenomenal. Would rate this experience 10 out of 10 for families and couples and anyone who just wants that amazing experience. Also, the beauty of the surrounding area is unmatched. You’re nesstled in a rainforest making chocolate from scratch, which was surreal. Would definitely do again.

This was the best excursion my husband and I have done by far. Claudia and her mother, Uma make this such a memorable experience. It is so precious and wholesome to be able to learn about local cuisine from a nationally recognized chef. We booked her cocoa tea class as well as this, and we did both back to back. She was so accommodating and endearing, I told her we will absolutely come back to see her when we visit next. Absolutely book this activity!

The jungle part and the making part were well planned and lasted long enough. Informative. Went to dinner afterward at the restaurant, the food was excellent but service was slow.

Great Experience. Great TourGuides. Well educated on the plantation. We didn’t get to make our own chocolate bars as the guide wasn’t expecting our arrival but she did the best with the ingredients at hand. We were gifted bars that were premade. Once booked with Cool Destinations , call 24 hours in advance so they can prepare for the your tour.

Highly recommend Xceptional Tours! My fiance and I are staying at the Sandals Grande which is unfortunately so far from everything and getting to any activities could easily take 2 hours on the other side of the island. This tour makes it easy with including transportation to and from Sandals, and Lennon was a fantastic driver/guide. He was highly flexible with us, including allowing us to stop for lunch elsewhere and offering to stop by elsewhere for local rum if we wanted to. The bonus was that he had multiple stops for viewpoints which was very kind and unexpectedly added a great touch to the day. As the ticket states, you get nice cold beverages included in the ride too.Note this Bean to Bar experience doesn’t include the plantation tour, so consider that before booking via Cool Destinations or Cool Destinations. I'm sure you could arrange something separately if you booked with Xceptional Tours on your own as a private taxi for the day. Also, make sure to message them via the app about the day before to confirm info like pick up time and options on when to start the experience. Very responsive taxi service!
