Highly recommend this tour due to the guide Miran and very personal stories of his life and his family during the Bosnian war. You can read more about him in the reviews of his hostel Miran at booking.com or Google (we did not know about his hostel and stayed somewhere else, but if we knew it earlier, we would definitely also stayed at the hostel, it has not only dorm rooms).

Everything was well organised. I booked a kayak from Cool Destinations just a few hours before, as a last minute thing, yet they had a kayak available for me and my booking information. The staff is very friendly and the kayaks are in good shape. The paddle doesn’t have a rubber grip so it starts to hurt your hands a little but it’s still doable. The landscape is beautiful, although there’s some trash on the water (not this company’s fault, but people should respect nature). They sell water and other beverages there, but I think the water bottles are used ones as the 3 I bought were all already opened… like the plastic seal was broken. Wasn’t sick from drinking from those, but still… maybe just bring yours.

Rafting was amazing, and we would definitely recommend this company. Everything was very well organized. The river and canyon are beautiful, with some sections full of adrenaline. It’s also suitable for families with children.We also had lunch, jumped into the water, and drank water from a natural spring. It was an amazing experience! Just keep in mind that the activity runs from 9:00 AM until around 4:00 PM, and don’t forget to bring sunscreen.Thank you for the wonderful experience!

Highlight after Highlight, fast paced, never boring!
Started with lookout point above the city and learned some modern history over coffee, water, and burek provided by MiranThen we beat the crowds to each spot Blagaj monastery built into the rock, with beautiful river. Plenty of time to walk around and get a coffee or beer/ glass of wine (in our case).Then onto the Castle and town Pocitelj with enough time to climb to the viewpoint and lookout the tower windows over the river.Finished at Kravice with time to have a feast (extremely reasonable price) with the best meat platter we have had in Europe. Bring trunks and towels because you are going to want to dip in the water fed from the waterfalls. So refreshing.Overall one of the best tours for our taste we have had over 40 countries in Europe. Miran was most hospitable, knowledgeable, and strong spirited. Don’t hesitate when looking for an excursion in Mostar, this is the one.

Great tour full of laughs, delicious food, wine, coffee, nature and animals. Sasa and his aunt showed me what’s like to live on a farm in Mostar. They showed me their living style which is what many in the West would envy and call true sustainability. They live off their fruits, vegetables and eggs from their chickens for the most part. They've rescued lots of animals and raised many more! My highlight was playing with their hens, which are one of my favourite animals. They also told me about their experience during and after war and we discussed history and politics, which was fascinating to hear. I wish them well and hope many get to enjoy this amazing experience as much as I did!

I booked my tour in the office directly in the center of the old town. The lady in the office was really friendly and gave me a lot of helpful tips! On the tour we were a small group of four and had two amazing guides! They were really nice and funny! We had a few good chats and got a lot of informations! For me the best tour I did in Herzegovina! Inspecially the waterfalls were one of my highlights, also there we got the tip for a less busy walk, so I could enjoy the waterfall view just for myself :)) But if you take the morning tour the waterfalls will be nearly empty at the first half hour :) I loved the tour and had an amazing day!! Thank you!

Great intro to Herzogovina
Such a fantastic tour! Out guide, Leo, was so friendly and knowledgeable - he showed us some beautiful places in the Herzogovinan countryside. We loved the waterfalls and the Ottoman town of Pocitelj, such a great way to see the country which would have been impossible on public transport. Leo even dropped us at the airport on the way back which was so helpful. Would definitely recommend!

Fantastic addition to your trip!
This is an amazing trip to the largest rainforest in Europe, the landscape is basically untouched and it’s so peaceful. The views are beautiful and there is a range of trails to suit every ability. Our guide was fun, friendly and knowledgeable and helped us with everything, as well as providing us with snacks and water. If you enjoy getting outdoors and breathing in the fresh air you’ve got to book this!

Amazing experience from beginning to end ! Our guide was very timely in picking us up, spoke both English and Bosnian fluently so was able to translate any information we saw and asked about. Had small snack packs ready for us with water, chips & a pastry. The park is absolutely breath taking and contains so many historical stories that are incredible to hear from the locals who work there. There’s many options on what you can do but we choose to walk around a lot to get the most of the scenery. The tour itself is a bit pricey and does not include any entrances but I will say the tour guide was kind, reliable and helpful.

Amazing day hike
My partner and I went on a one day hike with Miroslav up Zjleb and it was one of our favourite days in Bosnia and Herzegovina so far. We felt instantly comfortable with Miroslav who is easy-going, talkative, and funny - and between chats, paused with us to enjoy the quiet majesty of nature. As two novice hikers we felt in very safe hands and completely accommodated for.The walk was moderately tough on the way up, but along the way we stopped for fresh mountain spring water, and were greeted with stunning views at the top. Miroslav prepared some delicious packed lunches with hot coffee and home-smoked meat. Over lunch, he shared some fascinating insights into his life and history that made us feel a lot more enlightened about him and his home country. Because we didn’t go as far as he had planned (partly due to our sub-par footwear!), he insisted on taking us to the new sky walk, with beautiful vistas over Mostar, to enjoy a beer. He went above and beyond to make it a wonderful day and we had the most amazing time.Thank you Miroslav and we would highly recommend anyone to book a tour with Herzegovina Hiking!

Scenic Experience
Our intention was basically to get to the waterfall, enjoy the view and take tons of pictures. Our guide, Sasha, went beyond our expectation and made the entire trip a memorable one. Knowing that we had gone on other tours prior to his, he made the effort to find out what we have and have not seen and along the way, he came up with a customised tour for us, ensuring that our experiences do not overlap with the ones with had. As a result we had an extremely memorable road trip from the beginning to end. Sasha was very knowledgeable and friendly. We not only learn about the history of the places we visited but also about life in Bosnia and Herzegovina, in the local perspective. As a whole the trip was definitely worth the money. Highly recommended!

The guys are very kind, they showed us an explanatory video of what we were about to see and the route to follow before we started, they gave us a waterproof bag to put all our stuff in and then we were ready. They also offer a “lazy way back” in case we were too tired at the end of the route to come back for the price of €5, we didn’t use it though. The place was stunning!
