An Amazing Day in Sicily
Excellent tour guide in Catania. Sicily, Italy. I may mot spell it correctly . Cheers to Carrillo. He gave excellent instructions where to meet us by the cruise port. We saw everything and even did some shopping. Beautiful historic sites and architecture. Castelmola was picturesque. Our tour included visiting a family owned cannoli shop to watch them make the delicious treats . We each enjoyed a cannoli. Our day ended with tasting arancini and almond wine from the region. His English was excellent and his car was clean and cool. We invited him to come visit us in Texas and we would take him to a Texan livestock show and rodeo in Houston . It was an amazing day.

Made ravioli, spaghetti, and linguine with Stefania in her beautiful home. We had delicious appetizers and wine with our homemade 3-course meal. Her husband and daughter picked us up and dropped us off from the cruise ship. Lots of good conversation and company.

Recommend 1,000%! Highlight of our trip!
On a scale of 1-10, I would give this a 1,000! Hands down, the BEST experience on our three week European/Mediterranean trip. We saw so many beautiful sights in our trip, but being welcomed into Mariella’s home, hands-on cooking experiences and the food was just beyond amazing. This experience was so truly authentic and enjoyable. Even through we did not speak Italian and Mariella only had some English, Giovanni was present to translate and we all connected so well. Google Translate also helped. We laughed and smiled our entire time. Mariella and Giovanni were so inviting and welcoming, our experience was one that will stay with us for years to come.We made different types of pasta, such as ravioli, fettuccine, tortellini, cavatelli and penne. Mariella also pre-prepared focaccia dough so we could make it immediately upon arrival. It was delicious!Do not hesitate to book-you will have the most amazing experience! So much better than shopping!

Maria our host was amazing. It was easy to find and close to the cruise ship terminal. Only a 5 minute taxi ride. We learned a lot about the history of Sicily and how the food is connected with the culture. Highly recommend this one. Only 1.5 hrs so you have plenty of time for other activities afterwards.

Today was incredible. Welcomed by the husband and daughter who offered to pick us up and drive us back to our cruise ship after. Learning how to make pasta by Stephania was such a memorable experience we felt invited and welcomed, and could taste the love in every meal. We made spaghetti, fettuccine and spinach ravioli. The family, then cooked three separate dishes and presented it to us with love. It was the best pasta we have ever had. Afterwards we were treated with homemade tiramisu. The whole meal was complemented by a delicious Italian wine, and the day could not have been any more perfect. If only everyone could experience this, the world would be a better place having tasted the love with which this family cooks with. I dream of getting to do this again.

Maria was fantastic! We were able to walk to her place from the cruise ship. Only downside was no air conditioning, but that’s pretty normal in Italy. We learned to make pasta and had a wonderful lunch.

Mariella's home was warm and welcoming. We learned so much and enjoyed every second! What a treasure to learn how to make tagliatelle, ravioli, focaccia & tiramisu from true Italian family traditions. Marianara sauce by her 92yr old mother was a dream. Within the framework of the Erasmus program, he arranged our transfer from Catania Airport to Messina smoothly and efficiently. We also booked a tour with him to Mount Etna, Taormina and Savoca, which was an excellent experience. He was always punctual, friendly and very informative, making sure everything was well organized and enjoyable. I highly recommend his services.

Don’t miss this one of a kind opportunity!
Our hostess, Consuelo Cavazza gave us an incredible experience with her warm and engaging hospitality and delicious cuisine. She showed us and let us help her make tiramisu. She prepared an exquisite meal of gnocchi and tomato sauce as well as meatballs. She prepared numerous appetizers and we also enjoyed a refreshing cocktail, red wine and coffee. We enjoyed our time so much with Consuelo that we consider her a true friend. I highly recommend that if you do this excursion, ask for Consuelo and you won’t be disappointed!

Absolutely wonderful experience! Mariella was an incredible host. She was prompt for our pick up time and drove us ~20 min outside of the city center to her house. We used Google translate for communication and had no issues with that at all. Her home was beautiful and the food was delicious. Would highly recommend this experience for anyone visiting Messina.

The host was fantastic. She was very knowledgeable of the city and was a wonderful chef. Her home was very clean. My mother and I felt extremely comfortable. The food was we had was of the culture in sicily. I wanted to have the opportunity to make pasta, and we did! Great experience and would highly recommend.

Great experience with a GREAT HOST!
We loved our hosts and had a wonderful experience! The food we made was delicious and we were provided extra snacks as well. I was so grateful that Rosella Quartarone picked up our class as I understand that our original host was cancelling us the day BEFORE the class and Rosella kindly agreed to host us. Not only that, but she also offered to meet us and guide us to their home so we wouldn't get lost or have problems with taxis. She made the experience perfect!

A great option in Messina
This was a great option in Messina. A family opened up their house and taught us how they make Pizza and tiramisu!! So much fun. Rosella was awesome. A great cook and this was first class all the way. Home was beautiful, wine and food were awesome!! They take care of you and teach you all the details of how to make the dishes! The tiramisu was amazing. I would definitely do again! Thanks Rosella!!!
