Tour guides gave great information while traveling to and from places but left you plenty of time on your own to explore. They were attentive to our needs and anticipated what those needs would be. They extremely friendly and you could imagine sharing a meal with them in other circumstances. Would highly highly recommend them .

This private tour exceeded our expectations. The pickup was effortless — we saw the van waiting right under our cruise ship — and that made the whole day start relaxed. Filippo navigated the roads like a pro, and Sonia was always helpful and punctual, pointing out the best photo spots and answering questions. Taormina was stunning with its shops, panoramic views, and charming lanes, and the beach stop at Isola Bella was the perfect break by the sea. The balance between sightseeing and free time, all guided by our friendly hosts, really made the experience feel personalized and special.

This was one of our best shore excursions. Meeting our driver was simple because the van was parked right below the cruise port, no hunting around required. Filippo was reliable, calm behind the wheel, and knowledgeable about the area, and Sonia was excellent with communication and service throughout the day. Taormina’s historic center and panoramic sea views were lovely, and Isola Bella’s beach was a real highlight with its blue waters and unique natural setting. The mix of culture and beach time made the itinerary feel balanced and fun.

Absolutely incredible tour! We will definitely be using Coppola Tours again on our next trip to Italy. We saw some beautiful cities and learned a lot about the area from our tour guide. 5+ star!

This tour gave us the best of both worlds: time wandering the charming streets and viewpoints of Taormina and a relaxing stop at Isola Bella beach. We stepped off our ship and immediately saw the van waiting, which set the tone for a stress-free day. Filippo kept everything running smoothly and was patient on the winding coastal roads, and Sonia’s service was impeccable — always ready with suggestions and ensuring everyone knew the schedule. The beach stop was just the right length for photos and a quick swim, and the scenery was even better in person than the brochures.

We had a fantastic day on this Taormina & Isola Bella private tour — from the start it was super easy to find our pickup van right under the cruise ship, so no waiting or confusion at all. Filippo was a smooth, confident driver and made the drive comfortable, and Sonia was always there to help with timing, directions, and little tips on where to explore in Taormina. The views over the ancient town and the Ionian Sea were breathtaking, and the stop at Isola Bella beach was gorgeous — crystal clear water and a chance to stretch our legs by the shore. The combination of sightseeing, beach time, and personal service made the day feel effortless and memorable.

Meeting point was right at the port. Yleanie met us with enthusiasm and introduced us to Giuseppe, our driver. So thankful to have not taken this journey by ourself. It was a cloudy, rainy day. In Messina we went to a quaint area where the smell of baked goods filled the air. Since we grabbed espresso from a different vendor and not the place to see the Godfather filming location, the owner would not let us in. This venue was closed at 9:20 when we arrived, but that did not matter. We traveled from Messina up the mountains to Taormina where there was beautifully scenery, shops and plenty of dining to choose from. There was only two hours here, so this made it difficult to enjoy a sit down meal and shop. A quick lunch would work. We traveled back down for some quick photo opportunities and a taste of their pistachio cannoli. Wish we had more time in Sicily!

A great excursion with a nice guide we were lucky it was nice weather. We had a lot of sun and were able to take very great places challenging photos. I can only recommend the trip to anyone.

We are a family of four with two children, aged 15 and 12. This was a private tour and provided lots of free time for shopping and food. The tour was a bit pricey however the guide was knowledgable and the service was top-notch. We enjoyed our swim at Isola Bella, something that everyone should experience when visiting Italy. The guy took us to beautiful viewpoint and took family photos.

Great tour with beautiful views!

First, our driver was exceptional. He had great contact with us in the days leading up the tour and he met us right at the port. We were extremely thankful for him and his kindness. We really enjoyed shopping and eating lunch in Taormina. The beach was beautiful and the water was clear and cool. However, you need water shoes as the rocks are hot and sharp on your feet. We enjoyed the granita at the end of the tour- go for the chocolate it is the best. We ended looking at a church in the town square that was beautiful. Our actual tour guide knew a lot of history but her English was hard to follow, that is the only reason for 4 stars. Great trip.

Hana and Alberto are a fabulous duo!! They showed us some beautiful sights, gave us a thorough history of the place, and got us to all the places safely. They even ended the tour with local treats...a cannoli and granita. I would highly recommend this tour and this team. We enjoyed our day with these two! Grazie!! From your Montana and Arizona friends.
