Easy to follow guide, informative and well routed. Only minor inconvenience was having to return to hotel to get full shoes for access to Temple and Castle on The Rock, which were needed due to the uneven paths in places.

Needed to fill in a gap in our trip and our hotel was close to Cefalù, so we began the search for a self guided tour that was walkable and gave options on what to see or skip etc. the path linkage to Google Maps was great in helping us navigate the city streets. Would highly recommend this tour for those who want a high level overview of the history and city highlights. Well worth the cost and appreciated the flexibility the app provided to skip ahead, or repeat. We also listened to the tour prior to going so we were a little more familiar with what we would encounter.

We thoroughly enjoyed this authentic tour in Sant'Ambrogio. Giovanna gave us a fascinating tour of her family’s historic olive oil mill and led an engaging tasting, teaching us how to identify different aromas and flavors. We also explored the charming village, enjoyed stunning coastal views, and ended with a lovely aperitivo at a scenic café. Giovanna’s local recommendations were excellent. A memorable experience— highly recommended when visiting the Cefalù area.

Angela who runs the Sicily & Italy by Experts tours is simply amazing. She is so accommodating and communicative. Our guide, Raimondo is the best! Be sure to ask for him especially if you do the Etna and Taormina tours. He’s so knowledgeable about both areas especially since he lives there. But more than that he is a great driver and a delight! We loved his stories and all enjoyed out day thoroughly. The highlight of the trip!

A fantastic experience!!! Sant'Ambrogio is a fairytale village, quiet and overlooking the sea, Giovanna is incredible and explained with passion and patience (in two languages!) the history of the mill and his family. We learned to taste the different varieties of oil, strolled through the olive trees and concluded with a genuine aperitif overlooking the sunset. I recommend it to everyone, I can not wait to return!!

We had a wonderful day visiting the most beautiful sites and villages. Elizabeth, our guide was kind, knowledgeable and by the end of the day, felt like family. We are quickly looking up other tours we can do with her. Extremely professional. Highly recommend this tour for a memorable day!

Our day trip to Etna was an unforgettable highlight of our Sicilian vacation. Having a private driver was a game-changer; we felt completely at ease, never rushed, and were able to fully immerse ourselves in the day's journey. We did some light hikes at Etna and the mountain was breathtaking, followed by a truly delicious and relaxing lunch at a local winery that offered exquisite food and wine. We then concluded our day with a leisurely stroll and some delightful shopping in the charming town of Taormina. This excursion perfectly showcased the diverse and beautiful landscape of the island, providing a deeper, more personal experience than a standard tour could ever offer.

(I can only thank god that Cruise Ships don't pull in here!) As a fellow foodie and someone who lives part-time in Cefalu, my friend knew that I'd enjoy an "olive tasting experience."So she recommended Giovanna at "Living and Loving Sicily" and I could not be more grateful. Giovanna is a charming, priceless, cultural gem! First off; Giovanna's genuine Sicilian hospitality knows no bounds. She immediately makes you feel a part of her extended family.Second; Giovanna is a linguist Par Excellence. I'm trying to learn Italian, so I asked her to please "give me the lecture at about 83% Italian and the rest English." It was the single most satisfying "new language" experience I have ever had. (I'm an active gardener/farmer back home in Florida, and I happen to have about 10 juvenile olive trees growing, so the interaction with her was priceless!)She nailed the language bit; deftly and expertly switching linguistic gears to ensure my comprehension: BRAVO, MAESTRO!!!Finally, she's deeply imbued with the legend and lore and history of the local Olive industry... from 100+ years of family commitment. This is not some bored college kid reciting some written spiel. Furthermore, she conducts her taste training with the exact implements her family used for 100 years; it's clear her heart and passion has deep roots.After the history and agriculture and mechanics of olive growing, harvesting, and pressing, you move on to the TASTING portion of the experience. First she gives you a detailed hands-on sampling of 5 Sicilian Olive oils; using the exact same evaluation forms used by the top professionals when they judge the oil for world export.When you're done with the "academics" you walk just down the street to the patio of her sister's restaurant, and have a tasting meal with olive and cheeses and bread and charcuterie and a glass of chilled white; on a covered patio, draped with flowers, overlooking a million-dollar view of the Mediterranean Sea. Life rarely gets this good... and certainly never better. Worth ever DIME of the nominal charge.What I'm saying is this is a profoundly interactive, human, emotional, sensory experience that you (pretty much never) get with other, pre-planned, structured (boring) touristy crap.I'd rate it 100/100.

We utilized Cefalu Transfer for our entire family (6 of us and all of our luggage) to Cefalu, from Palermo, and on our return to the airport. It was an amazing experience with a very fun, informative, and very safe driver. The vehicle was spacious with lots of windows and all of our luggage was accommodated!We also used Cefalu Transfer for our Mt Etna/Vineyard excursion Day. Marco was our driver and navigated the twisty roads as a most experienced driver. He was so friendly, also informative, and really took very good care of all of us the entire day. The vehicle was immaculate and very comfortable.Everyone was on time and extremely helpful. We will most certainly be using them again on our next Cefalu vacation. We highly recommend this service - easy, very affordable, professional, no worries at all!

Giovanna is a beautiful woman in love. She is in love with her land and her roots. From this love the "Oil Tour" was born. It is his creature to which he dedicates himself with all the energy at his disposal, despite certain difficulties and contradictions of his land and of this time. The result is 2 hours of immersion in a story built with experience and competence, enriched by a visit to the oil mill and tasting of quality oils and more. It is a true and honest story, kind but simple, without embellishment to mislead the tourist. You can meet it a few minutes from Cefalù, which the tourist guides speak highly of. They are right, but if you like to admire a pearl of Sicily today and not just that of 1000 years ago, don't miss spending a few hours on a detour from Giovanna to S.Ambrogio.

We really can not begin to say enough POSITIVE AND AMAZING things about Marco and Elisabeth! The van was spotless and so comfortable. Marco and Elisabeth were very professional, Punctual and so knowledgeable. We learned loads of interesting information from the stops along the way and our private tour of town with Elisabeth. We all loved stopping for tea and treats.Lunch at the vineyard /luxury hotel was truly a hilight ! Such amazing service and divine food and wine served in a gorgeous setting. This tour went beyond our expectations and we all created a wonderful rich memory for life. Marco and Elisabeth are extremely accomondating and flexible as well. Suitable and fun for all adult ages.

An amazing and unique experience, immersing our group in the cultures, traditions, histories, people, places and foods of magical Sicily. Angela (& Giorgio) provided the perfect balance of professionalism and personal connection and their knowledge of and passion for Sicily was next to none.
