Top Brno Hiking & Camping

This was my favorite tour that we took during our week split between Prague and Brno. The Lednice castle and grounds were beautiful and the wine cellar was most unique. There were several additional stops, a church, wine tasting, etc were also interesting. One of the best aspects of the tour was the ability to customize to exactly what we wanted to see and the pace.

I absolutely loved my tour with Carcatta! I was a little uneasy about booking a wine tour on my own, but from the beginning, everything was professional, well organized, and easy. Communication was excellent, with clear details about pickup, drop-off, and what to expect.Rosta was wonderful. He was a great driver, incredibly knowledgeable, and genuinely pleasant to spend the day with. I felt completely comfortable traveling with him, and the day was the perfect combination of sightseeing, exploring beautiful places, and discovering some wonderful wine-tasting gems. What started as something I was a little nervous to do solo ended up being one of the highlights of my trip. I had such a fantastic day and cannot say enough wonderful things about Rosta and Carcatta. I would absolutely recommend them, especially to anyone considering a private or solo tour!

We were picked at our Brno hotel promptly at 9. The car was comfortable and Rosta was a safe driver. We toured beautiful palaces, had two wine tastings - one in a traditional wine cellar - and learned a lot about South Moravian history and we drove through the countryside. This was a highlight of our central European vacation.

Roman was really knowledgeable and friendly :) he showed us around Mikulov and we really had a great time there! 😊😊

This was one of the best travel experiences that my wife and I have had! Roman was extraordinarily helpful; he was very flexible with arranging the time of our departure. He provided a wonderful curated tour of the history, culture, and sites of Moravia. In eight hours, we heard about history, visited village squares, had two chateau visits, and a wine tasting. Roman is congenial and gregarious. You can’t go wrong with this tour!

When I returned to China and transferred these photos from my camera, I found myself reminiscing about the wonderful time I spent with Rost’a in South Moravia. Rost’a is an incredibly friendly and easy-going guide. The itinerary he arranged was not only filled with beautiful landscapes but also highlighted the unique local culture and heritage of the region. Although it was an extremely hot day, Rost’a never showed any impatience. Instead, he remained enthusiastic throughout the journey, sharing everything he knew about the history, culture, and interesting stories of the places we visited. This trip was much more than just sightseeing — it was a meaningful experience that allowed me to truly connect with the beauty and spirit of South Moravia. I will always treasure these memories and continue to look back on this unforgettable journey.

Rosťa provided a wonderful tour of the South Moravian wine country with narration about the area and it's history. The van was comfortable, with AC being very nice to have on a hot, summer day. We got to taste wine from a couple of different wineries and enjoy a nice, traditional Czech lunch in a quaint restaurant. The highlight of the trip for us was getting to go into a private wine cellar. Rosťa was very knowledgeable about the area's history and had prepared audio files to share with us while traveling. All-in-all an absolutely fantastic trip that I highly recommend to anyone visiting the area.

Roman is fantastic; he presented the highlights of South Moravia with a special focus on wine from 8:30 AM to 3:15 PM. He provided us with regional wine at two locations upon request, and this was at a reasonable price. He answered all questions, was interested, polite, and attentive. We can only recommend the tour.

Highly recommend a tour with Rosta! He tailored a great wine/walking/culture day for us and it was perfect. Highly informative and a definite highlight of our time in the Czech Republic. He gave us great recommendations as well. I recommend this tour and will be contacting Rosta again when close to Brno!

Excellent excursion with an easygoing and knowledgeable guide; he accomodated our wishes and anticipated our needs, and made the visit to Moravia countryside a great day to remember.

Very accomodating, easygoing and informative. Highly recommended. We could appreciate the visits without being stressed and have a real discussion with the guide.

Rosta knows everything about the region, we toured Valtice and Mikulov, and enjoyed a tasting at Sonberk winery, pickup and dropoff was efficient at our hotel in Brno. Great day!

It was a remarkable journey with Roman. He knows everything about the area. Put your hiking boots on. The scenery is beautiful.

Roman has put together a wonderful day exploring the countryside with a perfect combination of driving and trekking. His unrushed yet timely approach to the tour enabled me to take my time in areas I wanted to explore more and to also learn new things about the area. I look forward to returning for wine tastings and staying in the lovely chateaus we visited.

We had a fantastic trip with Roman! I travelled with my husband and 7 year old son. Instead of Lednice we went to a very old castle that had an interesting history and beautiful views. Unfortunately, there was a frost about a week before we went, so the gardens at Lednice were done for the season, so the cattle was a great alternative for our family. It was a bit of a hike up the hill, which we enjoyed. We also explored Mikulov, which is a cute little town, and the castle there is gorgeous. There are some cute shops and cafes, and the views there are also beautiful. Getting out of the city and exploring the countryside was a great experience. We would absolutely go back to this region and we would do another tour with Roman. He was very knowledgeable, friendly and accommodating, helped us to tailor the trip to our interests and family needs. Highly recommend!

Roman is truly one of the best tour guides we’ve ever had! His passion and pride for his country shine through in everything he shares. He took us through wine country and stunning UNESCO sites, giving us plenty of his time and knowledge. We had such a memorable and wonderful experience. Thank you, Roman!
