Top-rated Windhoek Attractions, Landmarks & More

Simon was a fantastic guide and made my first day in Namibia unforgettable! With his enormous historical knowledge, enthusiasm, and warm personality, Simon let us experience the center and the township in a special way. From local specialties at the market to the Penduka project: everything was perfect. Kind, safe, social and incredibly friendly — an absolute top guide and a real recommendation!

Simon was our very engaged and enthousiastic tourguide on this 3 hour tour through the city, townships, women's project at Penduka and the foodmarket. He was happy with every question so he could further tell his wonderfull stories. Thanks Simon!

What a great tour! Gregory was amazing, and really gave a great outline of Windhoek. Great way to start my trip to Namibia.

Picked up well in time. Friendly guide who gave lots of explanations and nice on time back to the hotel.

Three-hour trip with a city tour. The city itself does not have much to offer, but the guide was very thorough. The most interesting part of the local market is the Township.

Very interesting tour, with a nice guide. Shaka knows the city well, especially Katutura. Thank you for this great time!

This morning tour is recommended if you have limited time in Windhoek and are interested in learning more about the history of Namibia and visiting Katutura (the place nobody wants) township. Shaka was informative and helpful. It felt like a private tour! Thank you.

We were amazed at how much we saw and experienced on this tour. Each place was brief (some a bit longer) but it gave a good taste of Windhoek and the Township. Highly recommend!

Visited to main buildings in Windhoek from colonial times through to modern. Then visit to township created during apartheid and a local food market. Then to informal settlement which houses 300000 people in tough conditions. Lastly visit to women's craft cooperative. Michael was very informative.

Great tour to get an understanding of the reality of living in Windhoek. We were briefed on the history of Windhoek then drove through the various neighborhoods that are part of Windhoek.

We had a wonderful tour with Shaka. He was very informative, knowledgeable and affable. He drove us through parts of the Township that were off the beaten path. He delighted in telling us about the history and culture of Namibia.

A good and safe tour to get an insight into the "life" of Windhoek. Competent guide who explained a lot of information about the history of Namibia.

Shaka - our guide was excellent. Very informative and helpful. The highlights were the stop for the meat and pap snack and the tour of the township areas.

Fantastic. Personable, knowledgeable, patient, and well-spoken. Loved the tour and we appreciated it very much. I would highly recommend it.

I learned so much about the people of Windhoek and the rich culture of the Namibian people on this tour. The experience in the township was especially eye-opening — it offered a genuine glimpse into everyday life, community spirit, and resilience. I also appreciated the opportunity to learn about Namibian history, from its pre-colonial roots to its path to independence. This tour offered more than just a surface-level view — it was a deeply meaningful cultural experience that left me with a greater appreciation for the country and its people

Fantastic trip. Thanks to Saka, our tour guide for sharing this experience with us. Prompt pick up and very friendly service. Opened my eyes to the income disparity and struggles of these fantastic people.
